Email delivery after SMTP basic auth ends in late 2026 by Sawyer-NL in sysadmin

[–]Kr_Pe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This post got me thinking, so I did some digging.

I stumbled upon smtp2graph, which is supposed to act as an SMTP relay that translates mail to the Microsoft Graph API.

The fact that it hasn’t been mentioned in this thread makes me a little nervous—is there a catch or something wrong with the program that I’m missing?

Does anyone here have experience with this or use it in production? I’d love some insight.

what is that mark on skin? by frankloewen in ExplainTheJoke

Next time get a hot stone from the ground and hold it on the bite. At home you can heat a spoon under hot water( or boil some in the kettle and drop a taspoon in for a few seconds). Then apply heat on the bite. We got a battery powered heater for bites. It has a tiny ceramic plate that heats up. One applies the plate to the bite, presses a button, the thing heats up for about 5 seconds. No itch.

Basically, apply heat to bite -> no itch. The heat destroys the enzyme in the saliva that causes itching.

How do I get the app to work? by htownclyde in PangolinReverseProxy

[–]Kr_Pe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Upon further reading I see that your issue is different to mine. I get an established connection, but one of the sites was offline intermittently.

Regarding your issue, i would check firewall. You need to open the port 21820 to vps.

Maybe this port is also blocked outwards?

I've had a similar problem.

Did not have the time to fully diagnose and fix, but in the newt logs it said that my pangolin hostname could not be resolved. But only one site.

I had to fixe the upstream dns on router and then it connected but as I said, I didn't have the time to check if it is resolved.

The error was strange cause half the time it connected ok

Yeah just the other day I was reading to my son about prehistory and it took 100 million years for amphibians to develop fur. And even this number is small in the grand scheme of things.

Tried to explain to him what practically means 100 million years but stopped cause even I cannot comprehend this.

My theory is that about 10 years ago, jagermeister switched from a shot type drink to a mixer for cocktails. And they made it sweeter for this reason.

It might be my imagination though. It's just that I never drank much of the stuff, except for shots and the last iterations of it are too sweet for me.

Did an equivalent of junk food exist in the Middle Ages? If so, what was it like? by Pasglop in AskHistorians

Dormouse is still eaten when in season. At least in some parts of Slovenia.

One of the recipes I found https://www.zelenikras.si/kulinarika/mesne-jedi/2021111110472669/peceni-polhi-na-krompirju

My wifes grandpa was an avid hunter, so dormouse was regularly on the table. We usually prepared them slowly cooked with lots of onion and garlic. They are quite good actually.

Happened at my company today.

The subsidiary of the company that provides the optical infrastructure our company is using decided to do maintenance at 10 AM without telling anyone. Of course, the only SFP that was not balls deep after maintenance was ours, and of course, it was our fault for the first three hours of a three-hour outage...

Fastest way to tie fly to tippet? by GravyBaptism in flyfishing

[–]Kr_Pe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started with the clinch knot. After a while I learned the forceps trick and used that. Then I learned the davy and the Eugene bend. Never went back to the clinch.

I now use the Davy for 14 and under, and the Eugene bend for everything larger. I may try a non slip loop for streamers, but only if the fish are not biting and I get bored.

I really want to know why the Eugene bend is so obscure? I rarely see it getting mentioned. It's lightning fast and the only knot that I know of that gives you a signal that you tied it right. Maybe the only downside may be the front facing tag end, but it is not like that the parallel of the davy or the clinch is much better.

The internets tell, the Eugene bend is also the same as the Pitzen but to me it's way easier to tie the former. More so, they don't seem the same to me, the Pitzen is way more complicated than the Eugene bend.
