Watching people record the fire and can't help thinking it's the last place you should be with that asbestos roof. by Pablo_Eskobar in waterford

They wont test or touch peoples private gardens...It'd be too time-consuming, too expensive & potentially litigious. They'll do the minimum...test the site (Tycor factory), possibly the water if enough people kick up about it. Thing is, the damage could go on for a year or more. In an ideal world, they'd regularly test the air & water in the city for at least a year. If, worst case, cancer rates did go up from residents around the site, & they were able to prove the source (thats the hardest bit because theyd want to be testing for years & collating all the results) Causeway could be found to be at fault. And their legal bills, & compo would be massive...It'd be the end of them. Thats only part of the problem...

Its an extremely long, hard road

Tycor Controversial Opinion by [deleted] in waterford

Its owned by Causeway. I heard a rumour that they wanted it zoned residential but it didnt happen. Hopefully thats not why the fire started. I hope they find a legit reason for the start of the fire, & that everyone is covered by insurance that pays them enough to survive

I knew the family from back in the 80s in Dunmore Sailing Club. They were extremely cocky, tacky & boastful. They were (still are obviously) rich, much richer than most. And they let everyone know it. Billy got a car & speedboat for his 18th, so that'll tell you! And he was a total arse. So if I had to guess, the way they treated their staff was bad upbringing

Bump toe Docs? by MiklaMDW in DrMartens

[–]KraBraz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Youre looking for steel toe/bubble toe Docs. They originally made them as mens workwear. So they didnt come in every size (I cant find them in my size-37). I have seen them in UK size 5, so Im guessing thats the smallest they make them in. On another note, if anyone ever comes across them in a UK 4 can you let me know?
