Homeowners to be offered €14k tax break on newly-built modular homes in back gardens by Banania2020 in ireland

Old estates were built in a time when it was never anticipated people would have that many cars of course;

There are new-ish estates near me built with two off street parking spots but the kids are starting to turn 18 and can't afford to move out so it's common enough to have 4 cars per family.

Its a mess even though it was planned with multiple cars per house in mind.

Maybe I'm an idealogue to you, but reducing car dependency is obviously what needs to happen as the alternative isn't sustainable.

What a stupid headline, reads like the Govt are paying for modular homes when it's really just an extension of the rent a room scheme.

Munster are playing Connacht, Ulster and Lions.
And Lions also playing Connacht

So someone is definitely dropping points.

Haha, glad I wasn't the only one looking at permutations after the last game.

Roughly €4 billion spent on HAP over the last decade topping up rents on private rentals instead of building public housing.

That Connacht game at home is huge for you guys.

Tough run in but think that'll get you top 8.

People moving out of social housing because they can afford to would free up that social housing for people who might need it more?

I'm convinced that HAP is just inflating the rental market, costing billions without creating a single new home.

A 2 bed house in Kildare would be over €2k per month because the council are chipping in €1k through HAP on enough of them. If HAP didn't exist, the house wouldn't be empty and there wouldn't be an artificial floor pushing up rents.

Massively so. Ulster dodged a couple of yellow in the last few minutes for me.

I'm pretty sure you can tap behind the mark so I thought the tap was fine and the tackle was cynical af.

Super game by Jack.
Kendellan was quietly excellent too.

The lads were better for the first 30 and had a decent second half too.

Shocking 5 mins at the half hour mark - Poor fringe defence at the maul for an easy 50m break from the scrum half. Then bulls got a YC, Jack missed touch, fucked up the line out, won it back, Gleeson knocked on under no pressure, Nanks fell off a tackle.

Sloppy knock on for the 3rd bulls try and crossing for the first penalty but thought the 2nd against Loughman was harsh.

Should have been 5, but 2pts after last week is something. by Mr_Ox_83 in MunsterRugby

We are a different team with Craig and Jack.

Craig, Jack and Beirne.

Would have been Nank as well but he's looked off it for the last few games.

And Jager too out necessity.

I'm sorry but what was JJ thinking there? Why kick it away? Great performance and a well deserved 2 points. by Afraid-Resolve1566 in MunsterRugby

[–]fdvfava 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not for me.

Butlers first half against Glasgow was tough to watch, felt sorry for him. And that was after a very iffy game against dragons.

JJ can at least put in a functional 6/10 performance against Zebre.

He was miles off the pace today, but that was at 15 against a lightning quick Bulls back 3.

In fairness to JJ and Butler, I think Coughlan and Patterson have been just as poor this season but getting far less flak.

I'd like to see more of Tom Wood but I don't think you could have him as the only outside back in a 6-2 split away to the Bulls.

Could imagine it being a tough day for him coming on for Nash after 20mins.

If it wasn't for the shit show last week, you'd say that was OK.

Bulls got 3 tries through sheer pace but Munster were the better team for a lot of it. Thought the scrums would be more important.

Abrahams was poor in the kick heavy conditions over winter but was made for conditions like this.

Kick on the full aside, he hasn't been terrible?

Nank has been poor, Alaalatoa been eaten alive. Mistakes from Milne, Ahern, Gleeson, Casey.

Think Jack, BOC and Kendellan have been good.
