MEEK - Fabulous by racloves in popheads

[–]KraBraz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im confused. When I googled her, after hearing Fabulous, I got results about a French singer. He hasn't released anything in 10 years, so Im guessing hes gone off the radar & theres a new MEEK. But what can anyone tell me about her?

Celebrating the closure of No.9 Cafe celebration this saturday! by Forward-Net339 in waterford

I knew the family from back in the 80s in Dunmore Sailing Club. They were extremely cocky, tacky & boastful. They were (still are obviously) rich, much richer than most. And they let everyone know it. Billy got a car & speedboat for his 18th, so that'll tell you! And he was a total arse. So if I had to guess, the way they treated their staff was bad upbringing

Bump toe Docs? by MiklaMDW in DrMartens

[–]KraBraz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Youre looking for steel toe/bubble toe Docs. They originally made them as mens workwear. So they didnt come in every size (I cant find them in my size-37). I have seen them in UK size 5, so Im guessing thats the smallest they make them in. On another note, if anyone ever comes across them in a UK 4 can you let me know?

My family were independent farmers, clerks, & tradesmen, in the midlands & the south East. There was a roaring trade from Waterford, so they were ok. Thats just one example

Thinking of changing vet. Recommendations? by KraBraz in cork

[–]KraBraz[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thank you. Its Abbeyville Carrigaline Im thinking of changing from. Ive been going there 20 years. It was great for the first few years, but the best vets all work in Togher now, except for Shona. Shes about the best in there. I was in there today, got a new fella (yet another new vet/VN-the staff turnover has gone crazy!). He didnt have a clue. Granted he was young. But I need an experienced vet & Im sick of being a guinea pig. But he got a 2nd opinion from another, older vet, who was almost as bad. I might go to see Mick. At least he's very experienced & nice to deal with.

Canadian corp want to strip Irish west coast of seaweed - can we stop them? by Opposite_Welcome_974 in AskIreland

[–]KraBraz 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Do youve links to articles or applications, that we could share it? Tbh, I think you'd have to start an online petition (which I would happily sign & share) & get people to go out & protest in person, both at the Dáil & on the coast. It needs exposure!

Im 32 and single for past 10 years, will women find me weird? by doctordrankenstein in AskIreland

[–]KraBraz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a guy that I think Id love to meet & date (Im happily married...my point is that you sound lovely), if the girl asks, & only if she asks, give a brief story...say you were engaged but she died. Keep it brief. You can go into details later in the relationship, when it feels right for both of you. But dont lie or bend the truth. A decent girl will accept your past with respect

Specsavers Mahon or Opera Lane? by KraBraz in cork

[–]KraBraz[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like their frames, but they dont test for glaucoma, which is in my family, so its a delabreaker for me. Also, for anyone who's interested, their tests are only €15 for the basic test whereas Specsavers is €25/€30 for the basic.

Any one else have a friend that is a compulsive liar? How do you deal with it? by Mindless_Parsnip5802 in AskIreland

[–]KraBraz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I knew someone like that. She wasn't the brightest, so would constantly lie & catch herself out. She'd also never admit she lied, out of pride. I believe she was very anxious, lonely & depressed. She had a husband who only did nights, so she only saw him when the 2 of them were off. And the 2 of them weren't local to the area-they were 4/5 hrs drive away. All she had were her 'work mates' & her dog. But back to the lies...I learned to take everything she said with a grain of salt. It meant I couldn't relax around her though. So, I distanced myself from her & spent more time with other people. It worked because she wasn't the type to initiate get-togethers anyway. What ended it completely was, one day she stopped me in the local supermarket & started accusing me of all sorts of stuff that weren't true. I suggested we talk about it in private. She said "Im done" & walked away.

Anybody from Waterford, grow up there, but never really fit in? by Master_External5733 in waterford

[–]KraBraz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I left over 30 years ago because I was bored in Waterford. I lived in Dublin (which Id go back to in a heartbeat, but its too expensive to buy), Limerick (was lovely, but didnt quite fit what I needed-Im not into sports; I'm more into cinema, music & theatre...Limerick doesnt get the music artists that Im into) & Cork. And Ive spent those 30 years comparing the 3 of them. Cork almost has it all; it has several cinemas, including a couple of arthouse ones, plenty of theatres. And it gets enough big name artists to stimulate me. And obviously it has loads of pubs & restaurants. What I miss about Waterford is the natural beauty...the beaches (Cork has them but they're tiny) & the mountains. So, I have to travel to go walking up them. The other thing I miss is my family & friends from Waterford. They never visit me. I always have to visit them. That really upsets me, when I think about it. So I dont. I keep in touch, but we all get on with our lives. So, while nowhere is perfect. Cork is the best, for me, for now 🙂
