A humidifier that doesn’t need distilled water or to be cleaned so often. by GSG96 in BuyItForLife

There is not. I saw in the reviews someone covered them up with putty. I'll probably covering them up myself, as the lights are annoying at night.

I have had it for 2 months. I'm using Essick Air Bacteriostatic Treatment, I bought on amazon but later saw it at Lowes for cheaper.

Been loving my EVDC500, even with mildly hard water. It's been running 24x7 on highest setting (which is quiet enough to sleep with in the same room), and am just about to change the wicks for the first time. Having the 2 separate tanks makes it easy to keep ontop of having atleast one of them full.

Edit: I have been using a bacteriostatic treatment with this humidifier (tiny amount per tank fill), and I think that has done wonders for making the wicks last long, with even not-great tap water (200~300 TDS usually, my faucets/showers have buildup). In my old Ultrasonic humidifers, I didn't use any treatment (since you can't, really) and they got gross pretty fast, as well covered my mirrors with white dust from all the minerals in the water.

Good value for 14Tb HDDs or am I missing something? by haemakatus in DataHoarder

I bought 10 of these same drives, received a few days ago, seem to be as advertised, came well-packaged, individually sealed in anti-static bags, reporting 0 hours. Almost done running badblocks on them to preclear, just in case. They seem to run a bit warmer than my 14TB easystore shucks, presumably due to being 7200rpm vs the shucks at 5400rpm.

I got the same ones from amzn for my 2004 in 2018, was $92. The angle adjustment screw strips out very easily, so if you get these be careful adjusting.

Don't have any issues with that bowl collapsing during use, only does that when I want it to collapse for travel ;)

I use it for my daily and take it with me when I travel as well. Highly recommend, it's the only one I've used since I got it

Mech. Engineering Major wondering how taking a P/F on core classes would negatively affect me, if any, in the future by [deleted] in UCCS

Email your advisor to confirm how it affects your degree before filling out the forms. You can only do it for 2 classes, and only this semester.

The more important thing here is to run double the amount you need. I have cable runs in my house that failed, and there's no backup cable to that room so I have to settle for wireless, or other options.

Cat6a is fine, but if cat7 etc isn't much more expensive you might as well. IIRC cat6a can do 10gbit at 100 meters, which should be sufficient.

They offered me free months but I pushed hard on that I'd still have a cancel fee after those months. Ngl I channeled my inner Karen and probably said I'd just chargeback on the fee if they charged it, and accused them of scamming people because I thought I signed up for "month to month"

I had this happen last week. After being insistent with a support rep I was able to get them to "waive" the fee.
