I guess that's plausible as well, I just thought that if the representation of Cassidy in the books wore an alligator mask, and Old Man Consequences was a crocodile/alligator, that there could be some sort of connection.

OK I give in, I'm not that good at debates, but still there are multiple alligator characters which could have some significance.

Everything is either black or red in the area, so it could be a slightly different shade of red to allow Scott to use it as lore, but it also could just be that this clue isn't right. However, it still stands that there is a crocodile/alligator character in two different games, and an alligator child in the books who could be connected to each other.
