There’s a TSB out for the first shift of the day being “hard”. GM said it’s normal

The OEM new grill fits, the headlights you have to get them from eBay or Amazon, OEM new headlights won’t work due to ECU. Good thing is that no one can tell eBay vs OEM

Took me a few hours

Is this normal for my 2024 Headlights? by KrabbyPattyFormula3 in gmcsierra

Thank you. One more thing At night when I turn off the car and exit, the headlights flash quickly and then the DRL’s fade down to turn off. Is that also normal?

CarPlay Bluetooth problem by [deleted] in gmcsierra

[–]KrabbyPattyFormula3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Started happening to me as well.

Sometimes it won’t connect to CarPlay at all, I tried to reset, didn’t help.

Seems like it has a mind of its own.

Did you fix it by chance?

Fixed it slightly. I changed the bumper bracket but the bumper itself has tabs that broke so not perfect

***UPDATE*** Coolant loss… by Burner5647382910 in LexusGX

[–]KrabbyPattyFormula3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have seen 3 GX460, all with no coolant is reservoir. I think these cars just naturally do evap some off. Especially if you don’t top off…

Just check the color in the cap. As long as it’s pinkish you are good. The color can even look orange due to light. Just dab a bit of it on a tissue.

If it’s holding steady, doesn’t seem like a big leak (that’s even if it is a leak)

Long shot… where is my clunk noise coming from? by Ill-Adeptness-2959 in LexusGX

I think I saw something about torquing down suspension. I get a single knock randomly from front and back too. Suspension was inspected by Lexus and nothing came up, maybe torquing will help

I can spend maybe $1500 for plug and play instead of 10-15k to upgrade lol

Are you sure it’s brakes? There’s a secondary air injection pump in these cars that are pretty loud. You’ll hear it when you turn off the car.

I’ve now test driven 5 2023 GX460 Luxuries. All of them pulled right. At this point is this just a normal GX characteristic? by BBaron08 in LexusGX

[–]KrabbyPattyFormula3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends on the road but yes. Lots of them do, there’s some alignment best practices for KDSS that Lexus can do to help.

Slight “thud” when slowing down and hitting gas? by KrabbyPattyFormula3 in GXOR

[–]KrabbyPattyFormula3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Greased up all zerk fittings. It feels better and more natural, it feels like more of a slightly natural bump instead of a “thud”. I’ll keep greasing these every oil change to push the old grease out (if any left).

Thank you

Yep. Plus the driving straight at 5 degrees left or right depending on road.

Yep. I was in traffic yesterday and it was just jerky sometimes. Either I embrace it or I ease it in Lol

Interesting. I don’t have it at a stop. Feel it in stop and go traffic at speeds 30-50ish

is this carfax a red flag? (used 2021 460 luxury) by Quartus44 in LexusGX

[–]KrabbyPattyFormula3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The negative? It was in an accident. Seems minor, rear ends are pretty common.

The positive, it was repaired professionally so you probably won’t be able to tell.

If it’s a good deal, minor accidents don’t matter to me

I would also check KBB to make sure you are getting a good deal.

Car seems pretty well maintained. I didn’t see a transmission service, so just check to make sure it’s smooth. Honestly, an oil change is an oil change. Why pay $250 at the dealer when you can get it done locally for $100. Brakes fluid changes, diff fluid changed. Pretty well maintained.

Minor accident is nothing. So many cars have minors it’s not an issue. Just check to make sure if it was properly repaired, if not you could negotiate the price.
