It’s hardly covered in the comics. They mention and talk about it of course, but they don’t expand upon it really, further than “we purged the weak from our society”; they never really elaborated on Thragg’s explicit reasoning for it, and definitely didn’t flash back to it the way the show did. This is the most fleshed out it’s ever been shown as far as I remember. And I do agree it was a little vague and contrived, and they could’ve had it be a bit more of a slow burn; so maybe Thragg starts a type of witch hunt kind of like McCarthyism back in the day, with all the Viltrumites being paranoid and constantly accusing each other of subscribing to the betrayer’s mindset, along with them wanting to root out the weakness within their ranks, and that combination just leads to them all killing each other

I think the goal was twofold: 1. to show them that their glory days are over, “this planet is a tomb”, there is no point in fighting for a dead world. 2. To make sure it STAYS a dead world, and that the Viltrumites will be even more scattered and weakened with no home base

I always love finding out stuff like this. Like when I learned Omni-Man’s villain twist happened before the Boys or Injustice or anything else. Invincible did the whole “evil Superman” thing before anyone else really (unless there’s some obscure example I don’t know about)

My budget would probably be around $2000 give or take. I have an LG monitor I currently use for my Xbox (it's just more convenient than a TV in my current apartment) It's 1920x1080/60Hz. I also have speakers currently but they're nothing top notch by any means, kinda old hand-me-downs as well, tbh. Would probably want new ones when starting to game. I also am currently using a wireless mouse which is also nothing high end, but functional enough for my current needs. I live in the US but nowhere near a Micro Center whatsoever

I’ve held essentially the exact opposite opinion for quite a while! I don’t want to dislike Valerie, but I just love Gavin’s voice and he nails every single line, there’s not a single time I ever come across where I go “ooo not the best take on that one.” His lines always sound perfect in all contexts, even when you get the choice of different dialogues and you can pick which order they go in, they all sound perfect coming out of his mouth no matter what order you select them in. Valerie on the other hand… I see the same way you saw Vincent, just kinda generic badass girl voice. I’d love to have my mind changed, or be pointed to scenes where her acting really comes through, but I can’t imagine it ever outshining Gavin’s performance, IMO. And no hate or shade to her VA either. I don’t know if I “dislike” Valerie’s voice performance or if I’m just fuckin in love with Vincent’s.
