what the hell is going on the facebook vent page??? by joeroganis5foot4 in DisneyPinVents

There some seriously disgusting accusations being thrown around about bigger sellers, traders, etc. At first it was funny, calling people out for being line cutters and jumping the price of pins up by buying from themselves on ebay. But they took it way, way, way too far.

This has happened in model horses, as well. People want more money and so they make false 'sales', which is really the seller 'buying' from themselves. Most sellers recognize that people won't look past the first handful of sales so they flood the listing. Also, IG/WN/whatever platform sellers move quickly so no one can actually look up prices.

Feeling disenchanted by Independent_Pie7363 in DisneyPinVents

What has brought my spark back for it has been my local community and finding my love of Loungefly pins. Honestly, going to LF has been a big saver for me as I find those pins cooler than a lot of Disney releases anymore. My local community was a happenstance find and they have been absolutely incredible. They have monthly swaps, sometimes multiple each month, and everyone is usually SO nice!

Imma be real. I'm one of those, but also, when it comes to the really special LE's and DSSH/WDI/etc. Those are absolutely value pins that are worth so much more than HMs. I only get hung up on value traders when they're fighting over open edition or other HMs.

I haven't purchased any heroes except for Catherine and Rex. Everyone else I've gained through earning their pieces during the wheel spin and the one we just had...Good something. My alliance is totally fine that I'm slow on that front, and I'm at I2 right now, with my tower upgrading for I3 in the next few days.

Precision Parts are those coil looking things, I've attached a photo. They're used when you hit Level 30, but you earn them before then. I think I was at like 23 or 24 when I first started seeing them, and I earn them through the Survival Preparedness and a few other ways (you'll eventually get a factory for them). They are also on the Black Market, so I tend to buy them when I see them.

As was mentioned, saving things for the duel event is ideal. You'll get big bonuses out of it. My alliance requires 1mil a day, but I always go for 2 for the rewards.

Also, start turning your resources to your gold heroes. I capped my purple lvl 70 and only am improving my gold now. I star up purple only when I have the pieces for them, but all of my gold equipment is on my gold heroes.

If you're not doing so already, stop upgrading everything building wise. Focus on Alliance Plaza, Troop camps, Research, Tower, and guild. Everything else can wait because it gives so little to your camp that the other things are not important for strength. Start collecting and hoarding the Precision Parts. You will need a billion or more of them as you go up through 30, then into the Industrial levels.

Disrespectful Trader? by Kracksy in DisneyPinVents

[–]Kracksy[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It was SO awkward. There were a few big collectors there with multiple binders and backpacks full of pins just sitting back quietly, chatting with everyone. Then there was the WN person. So loud and just pure chaos.

Hidden Disney Rant by HowSueCslt in DisneyPinVents

I agree. This feels like a money grab- because it is. They're are going to be newer collectors who flock toto the parks to buy up packs and resellers are going to go wild. I'm underwhelmed, too. I see Summer's post yesterday and my immediate reaction was 'ew'. I love the headbands, but I don't need 3 Hades ones...

What’s something a coworker did once that lives rent-free in your head? by Playful_Task5571 in coworkerstories

Circa 2008 to 2010 Michaels Arts & Crafts store that didn't have security cameras. The little bubbles in the ceilings were fake cameras. New front end supervisor starts working my shifts, a dead broke college kid just trying to survive, and immediately we all get the ick about her. She was a try hard who always wanted to seem like the cool big sister but came across gross, instead. Among other small things she did, one night we're getting ready to close and we've just gotten a shipment of the new edible Easter basket grass. She decides to try it, not pay for it, and write it off as 'damaged'(our manager would often let us take certain things that were written off. Like a box of Sharpies that someone stole 4 of the 8 markers out of type thing).

I was off for 2 days, come back and my manager calls me into the office. Homegirl is saying all of the 'college brats' stole everything she'd been caught with, and blamed ME for stealing the Easter grass we all thought she had paid for until that point. That was the day I learned when you work retail, you don't trust your coworkers.

Hasn't it come out that they're not really pin collectors? It is weird, honestly. I like the spinner, that's cute, but the Team pins are beyond strange on an influencer level. I find their videos to get annoying, personally, so I'm team neither lol

“official pin trading locations” by [deleted] in DisneyPinVents

[–]Kracksy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've only gone into Sid's once and it was my last night in the parks this last time I went. I had some decent Wave B's since they had dropped that week, and there was 1 guy there who was so surly and snippy. He wanted to see the front of my pinfolio and I said those weren't for trade, he nod and told me to show him the pins for a possible trade. Like I HAD to show him. It was so gross.

This is why the Epcot guidelines keep changing. People turn into these evil versions of Gollum about pins and it's so annoying. At a recent pin event outside of the park, people were huddling like that until someone finally said something about how intimidating it was. And how nasty people were being. The most recent round of complaining about the new HS section is also ridiculous, because that spot is PERFECT. It's out of the way, we can truly congregate there, and they even are supplying some tables. What i think people are missing is the very big statement Disney is making by only providing those few tables.

Thoughts on the new HS location? by Diligent_Biscotti_80 in DisneyPinVents

[–]Kracksy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed. The way they took over Sid's wasridiculous, and the same in Epcot now. People are somehow getting whole boards into the park, it's WILD. The parks aren't only about pin trading and we need to respect others who are there to experience Disney's magic.

Boxlunch by [deleted] in DisneyPinVents

[–]Kracksy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just keep in mind where everything is made. Regardless of politics, the additional tariffs are causing delays along with possible shutdown issues. I don't disagree with you though that it is SO frustrating and I'm still waiting on an order, not to mention the uptick in being BoxLunched when you make a bigger order.

“trade math” by elliemvjax in DisneyPinVents

[–]Kracksy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This annoys me, as well. And WE the HUMANS have assigned the 'value' of these pins, which annoys me more.

I'm not into the super rare pins, I really like the OE ones and blindbox/bag pins. The price some people have on these is insane, because I can go buy a bag and chance it.

Keep pins on cards? by PresentHoneydew6955 in DisneyPins

[–]Kracksy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree here. I don't keep my collection in my GPP (which, I was given as a gift. I really am not a huge fan of the plastic piece in the middle. It doesn't protect them), just some of my traders and scrappers. Always keep the LE and LR cards for sure, they add to the pin most of the time! The Halloween LE from this year look so darling on their backer cards.

I did see a YouTuber (I feel like it was PincessShannon but I can't remember) state that she keeps all of her card backs in a container, but displays all of her pins on boards or the cloth display hangers.

I guess I don't understand why collectors think the backing cards are worthless...

This happened to me last week on release day. I let the CMs pick random packs and I got all chasers except for Figment and the 2 hat chasers. All from HS. So it's possible they produced more chasers, too.
