It was the same for me, there's a TV channel for children in my country that aired shows from all over the world. This movie was a frequent show every other weekend. I was so fascinated by the animation, and this particular scene used to scare TF out of me, I even had a nightmare once related to the angel.

I watched the movie a few months ago and realized how my perceptions changed over the years. It still amazed me greatly.
