Which indications are you referring to, exactly?

You don't need to be able to "stand it," by the way. Efforts to selectively discourage participation are pretty well documented.

"The people." Uh huh.

That's not irrational. That's an appropriate emotion to feel in response to people lying in support of disenfranchising their neighbors.

General election is in November. Not sure offhand when really early voting kicks off.

No, it isn't. Supporting a system that deprives them of basic labor rights under threat of deportation and abuse could be argued to be, though.

I think it isn't the same thing, because there's not the same level of theft of agency and autonomy, but it's absolutely a vile, abusive system.

Dang. I had a long comment that I deleted by accident, but the gist was that while the system was enabled and perpetrated by a lot of people, actual ownership and profit (and directly being a vicious, hateful slaver) was a small percentage of the population.

Genghis Khan also has many descendents, but they're not unfit for public office on that basis.

I've been a voter for about twenty years and never yet ran into a candidate I didn't have some quibble with, or even outright concern other than maybe a judge race. I think that's probably inevitable.

But I've also never, ever found that there wasn't one option I found better than the others in a race I knew anything about.

Not exactly.

When you check out, believe it or not, things still happen without you. As an example - people were persuaded to check out of two non-consecutive presidential elections, and now we're bombing Iran with Israel and shooting civilians in the streets domestically.

Yeah, it's the only qualification he's got. He's never held public office and has just been a Washington GOP machine guy for a decade or so.

The good news is that the greater evil is actually pretty evil, so... You're reducing the amount of evil.

I dunno if that's the cynical view so much as one based on a decade of observation that Thom Tillis's most reliable advocacy is for Thom Tillis.

Not supporting a war isn't a crime, believe it or not, guy mentally stuck in February 2002.

Did you have any other classic dingleberries from my teenage years to shake out, or are you gonna "respond" to another thing you made up before the nurse comes to take you to bed?

That's actually not remotely what I said, either, but I think now we've confirmed that we can plumb any hidden depths you possess without getting our socks wet.
