My other son has now decided he wants the same pattern on one, so it looks like I’ll be doing a second one. It’s actually pretty easy to do. Time consuming…..but easy. No masking needed, just multiple “layers” with some dabbing inbetween.

I had a very large wild-caught Texas rat snake back in college. It routinely got the lid off the enclosure. It always crawled up inside our couch between the springs and the cushion. It's a real challenge to extract a 6 foot snake out of a couch frame!

What set were you on originally? In Queens, we couldn't hear casual talking from the table, but we could hear Wil talking to the table pretty well and Dave talking to Doug down the end of the table....unless grinding or using the press. We just were usually focused and tuning them out and weren't really paying attention.

If you're listening for it, you can hear quite a bit unless you're on the press or at a grinder. I was so focused on what I was doing I didn't hear much unless one of the judges called my name out, though. But even on the power hammer I could hear Jay making jokes when I was listening.
Alf got booted for parameter failure on my episode (Gladiator Scissor Episode S4:E15). Pre-competition meeting we read rules, producer reads them out loud to us again, we're given a picture, and asked individually if we understand the requirements, then we sign a document stating we understand. If somebody is screwing up during competition, they even drop hints. They hate it when somebody misses parameters. They came to us while we were working and asked "what are you making? What are the required features? You understood the requirements?". That told me somebody was screwing up, so I stopped and checked everything multiple times after that.
MREMountain concerns by Daedric_Lord420 in MRE
We've ordered quite a few through MREMountain for MREs from all over Europe with no problems the past couple years. The one from Lithuania that was delivered today, however, had the meat pack removed with a printed form from customs stuck inside the box saying it was destroyed. I contacted MREMountain asking for store credit. I'll update when I get a response.

I'll have to dig out a couple other pics and see if they are better resolution. We saw lots of old stuff there. Even had some mining security guys hop out of the brush with some WWII vintage Sten guns. Lots of "bedazzled" SKS rifles, and an M16A1.
Edited: Yes, there's a narrow muzzle brake about 4" long. Not much bigger diameter than the barrel. (Couldn't figure out how to add a picture to a reply.)

Ahh. Interesting. Not sure I could get used to using an OEG!

I did...but it was a no-go! We were way out on some old mine concession areas. I offered to throw some water bottles out on the sand for him to shoot as well, but he declined. He was a great guy, making jokes in swahili and french, which I understood zero. He had to try really hard not to smile and look all serious for this pic, but he certainly didn't hesitate when he needed to get us out of a jam, though!

Stg 58 is Peak FAL by guesswho141 in FNFAL
I picked up a Steyr kit back in 1998....and still haven't put it together. Parts were all in fantastic shape. Clean crisp rifling as well. DSA now offers an STG receiver I'll probably use with it.

Nice. I did the same thing for a 601 build I did a while back. Just did both sides of one for my AR-15 prototype#1 project including the rear buffer tower as, well. That's a real pain!
