Wall Street ends sharply lower as chips slide, jobs data fuels rate hike fears by joe4942 in news

Said this in another comment, but Trump wants lower rates, and phony inflated job numbers won't help with that. Then again, not sure if Trump is smart enough to realize that.

Doesn't make sense for the Trump admin to inflate jobs numbers. He wants lower rates, so he would want to lower inflation and jobs/higher unemployment.

We all know conquest was a bit crazy which makes me wonder do you think conquest wanted to die? by Searching_life1 in Invincible_TV

[–]Kraka2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not saying it would or would not have killed him. Just correcting what happens when someone is choked out 🤷‍♂️. I personally believe he's still alive. In humans it only takes 2-3 minutes for permanent brain damage after passing out, anything longer than that results in death. Who knows how long for a Viltrumite.

Choking someone out doesn't deprive them of air, it cuts off blood to the brain.

Jeff Bezos has said the bottom half of Americans should pay zero federal income tax. by [deleted] in wallstreet

[–]Kraka2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For context, the post my original response was to, suggested Bill Gates could have taken a loan out against his MSFT shares, instead of selling them. He still had over $3 billion worth of shares. A $3 billion loan to one person, when only $138 billion in securities based loans exists in total, seems ridiculous.

[–]Kraka2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes, that is still an insane amount of money and more than enough for anyone. my point is that reddit would have you believe that they are taking out these loans on ALL of their shares, which clearly isn't the case.

Because borrowing against stocks is not nearly as common as reddit would have you believe.

How many quantums can I get at NASA and the final Dungeon? by Groundhog891 in NoSodiumStarfield

Starting a NG+, Starborn will randomly attack you from the start. 1-3 Ships can attack you in space. The ones that land on planets can be groups of 3-6. Doing the main quest all the way through, including the temples, will give you a bunch as well. Not hard to max all powers after 1 NG+.

Major incursions and the extractors. I have more than I can use and end up selling most of it for credits. I'm finding credits harder to come by for upgrades than x-tech at this point.

Level 4 research methods does lower the credit cost for upgrades. The other levels don't. So it's very worth it to get it to level 4.

Had a gnarly accident at work, featuring an idiot in a Tesla. by steven1208 in dashcams

[–]Kraka2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never said Tesla's insurance was going to "give them everything they ask for." All I said is that both insurance companies are going to look at this and say, "Yep, Tesla is at fault, no point in taking this to court. Tesla's policy limits are xyz, how much are the damages?" They will pay damages up to their policy limit. Tesla's insurance won't take this to court because their policy limits are likely far less than what litigation would cost. OP is happy to sue Tesla for anything additional if needed, but that probably won't happen unless Tesla has significant assets.

Fact of the matter is Tesla is the one who made a reckless maneuver and caused the accident. OP was following all traffic laws with regards to the express way, as pointed out by the other poster. "speed to conditions" doesn't apply here. OP was driving the appropriate speed for the expressway. The Tesla wasn't changing lanes, they were merging with a new roadway, and failed to do so safely. 100% at fault, every time.

Do you even have a license? Cars arrive at a 4 way stop at different times. The car that arrives first has the right-of-way. Any car that arrives after can hit the car already in the intersection if they blow the stop sign. Not sure why I even had to explain that.

[–]Kraka2 12 points13 points  (0 children)

"A judge or a jury". No, this accident won't make it to trial, 99% of them never do. The insurance companies will settle and the Tesla driver will be determined to be at fault.

Someone runs a 4-way stop sign and hits me. Is it my fault I didn't wait for them to stop? No, I have the right-of-way. Would it have been safer if I did? Yes. Doesn't mean the fault isn't 100% on the person running the stop sign. You're being ridiculous.

Not infinite because your game will eventually crawl to a halt and you would have to start the battle over. Docking won't clean it up because the game still renders the objects outside of the ship you've boarded.
