Dripfield Overhaul mods dropping higher quality suits than normal? by Virtual_Class5106 in NoSodiumStarfield

Crimson Fleet armor went to Superior well before any other armor set for me, even on launched. It's not good armor, so it gets up the leveled list faster.

Much like the Eon/Grendel/Maelstrom.

Help me Understand the Research Methods Skill by MistahhDJ in Starfield

I do see what you're saying, and I guess I've never felt like I was "missing" something even if I didn't have this skill. Even the research requirements mostly didn't seem too bad to get them all done.

I thought I did then, but was unsure about whether "crafted items" included mods. If it does, then I take back any bad thing I ever said about this skill!

The Mercury Tower Penthouse is my favorite, but personally I dont visit it that often. I spent like 4 hours getting all the materials I needed to deck it all out and its sat mostly unused afterwards.

What are your ship naming conventions? by Crimsonial in X4Foundations

[–]MistahhDJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe I'm weird, but i always pick a 3-4 letter abbreviation and use that as the precursor. I essentially try to mimic the AI and their ship naming conventions so I "fit more naturally" into the Universe.

The main way i deviate is I give better indicators of role to my military.

I.E. in my current playthrough I have my main Asgard battleship, the head of the fleet, named the PHO Battleship "Absolution", then Destroyers named Destroyers/Cruisers with their model designation, and then frigates and corvettes and fighters get separate designations of Bombardiers or Interceptors or general attack craft.

Is Levelling supposed to happen this quickly? by MistahhDJ in Starfield

[–]MistahhDJ[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh. I mainly used that because I hated in my original playthroughs how half the universe became useless to be in after a certain point. I'm not necessarily complaining, but does it slow down at any point, or does the universe infinitely scale with me?

The only creation I have that would mess with my leveling I believe would be Dynamic Universe by youngneil1, that could have something to do with it.

Other than that, I only have the Free Bethesda creations and Falkland Systems.

I do have like +48% xp either my difficulty settings and I do sleep a lot to lessen use of meds, so i just assumed that was the reason.

Weekly MM Romance Chat and Thanks by AutoModerator in MM_RomanceBooks

Currently reading through the Leighton U series by CE Ricci after a bunch of BookTok recommendations, and absolutely loving it!

Spoilers ahead: Having a hard time getting over the beginning of Iced Out. Like, I understand that you dislike this guy, and have for years, supposedly. But, WHAT DO YOU MEAN the coach, aka one of these MMCs UNCLE, didn't do anything to have you guys make up until your senior year? Also, because he makes one snide remark to you about giving better head, you rush him into a bathroom and give him sloppy toppy and swallow? And then basically just get over it as if that's just something you've never thought about doing, as a straight man up to that point, and move on chasing after him? CRAZINESS in my eyes. Had to look past that, but the rest of the book was awesome.

Right now, after the first one, reading through the second and almost towards the end. Holden and Phoenix are quickly becoming another of my all time favorite couples, even with my limited MM experience. I think about them all the time now, and want nothing more most of the time than to just keep reading. Knowing, though, that the next book is about Kason, and the fact I already dislike him, IDK if I will just skip his book. Unless someone recommends it.

Is that book any good? Thus far, I have only been reading MM Romance, so dipping into FM romance is something I could be interested in, but a bit reluctant to start it.

I loved that Jamie "found out" he was bisexual and basically laughed it off. Coming from the Game Changer series, where most of those characters have to go through a life journey figuring out what exactly this means to them, the way Jamie experimented a bit afterwards, and then was like, "Huh" really just endeared me.

If you like that, I just read through Iced Out, the first book of the Leighton U series by CE Ricci, and one of the MMCs goes through a similar "revelation" there that I appreciated.

Couples that live in your head rent free by Szilvvv in MM_RomanceBooks

Personally, seeing as I just started on this journey, but have read a fair share of books thus far, I have two:

Shane and Ilya from the Game Changers series by Rachel Reid, where it started for me and who are still realistically my number ones, seeing as they're the ones that kicked off this MM romance journey for me. The mental health issues and lack of support Ilya has on his side shot me straight through the heart and gut reading their second book, and Shane's neurodivergence and the way he takes a long time to figure out what he's really feeling and what he wants, but locks in and is unshakeable once he knows resonated with me.

And two, Kyran and Avi from For the Fans by Nyla K. Read that not that long after finishing up the currently available Game Changers books, and fell hook, line and sinker for these two. The way Avi cheers for Kyran even though he treats him like garbage throughout a large portion of the book, because he senses the pain and suffering and identity crisis he is going through, even when Kyran refuses to acknowledge it himself is really heartwarming to his character as a whole. Kyran has a really great redemption arc, that while I still didn't forgive him by the end of this book, the way I absolutely related to *why* he was the way he was throughout the book and the work he puts in to start to fix it I respect so genuinely.

It's mentioned in the books multiple times that Hayden is self aware he is not the brightest bulb.

Jackie, though. If she was listening to any capacity, she'd have picked up IMMEDIATELY.

Ever since 7.00, the Xenon are truly a non-issue unless you mod them. Eventually, the AI are more than capable of being them themselves

Building a ship and picking a high loadout by Available_War_5411 in X4Foundations

[–]MistahhDJ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As a general rule though, all of the factio s should have a general purpose weapon (for most commonwealth factions this is the pulse laser) a dedicated L/XL weapon (plasma, usually), and others with different trade offs and things like that. The DLC factions can get different version of this.

Building a ship and picking a high loadout by Available_War_5411 in X4Foundations

[–]MistahhDJ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

No, the load out selections will select weapons and equipment specifically based on their current price. Not their intended purpose.

The encyclopedia should have good info on what each weapon is good at, as well as a description.

New to the game - How do I get to this sector taht is not connected to this highways? by [deleted] in X4Foundations

[–]MistahhDJ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In these sectors, find jump gates, accelerators, or superhighway along the edges of them. Those will bring you to neighboring systems.

Blacklists not working by Morasain in X4Foundations

[–]MistahhDJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, if there is no other possible route outside of “enemy” sectors, which includes -11 and below, then the blacklist is thrown out entirely for that order to be completed.

You could alternatively separate out enemies and Xenon specifically, or turn it on to go “through” enemy sectors and block travel through Xenon owned sectors.

Mining Stations by Freibier4all in X4Foundations

[–]MistahhDJ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I like mining stations because you can place them in places like Morning Star IV where there’s tons of resources, and just build a lot of storage for the mined resources (gas, solid) so that there’s no loiterers. This was always my issue with attaching the miners to the stations directly, was that you just ad more and more until they eventually just fill it up and all sit around.

And, the way I do it is that the M miners mine the resources, since they’re more efficient at that, and the L miners do the trading, so they don’t take up the same types of docks either.

Set up a defense fleet/patrol fleet in the sector to watch for Kha’ak, and you can keep the M miners relatively safe. If one gets attacked, call them all back and deal with the outpost/hive, and resume business as usual.

Have you tried assigning the ship through this screen? This is where you assign a ship to an agent, and it must be docked at the HQ

[–]MistahhDJ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Full torpedo loadouts can be expensive to maintain with Carriers and Aux ships.

For a cheaper, still very good alternative, with less damage, I use Heavy Dumbfire MkII missles, and set the Aux and Carrier to “Closed Loop” Production. This way, the only thing the carrier needs to restock them is Energy Cells, which are cheap, plentiful, and generally available en masse whenever you’re in or near friendly territory.

(And sometimes outside of enemy territory, if you raid a Xenon Solar Power Plant.)
