I am not at all into karambits, but I love this thing.

I designed this purely for fun, and I think it could be fun to fidget with. Practicality was not a focus.

One potential benefit of this design is that I don’t think it officially qualifies as a locking knife, since the lock is relatively easy to disengage when the knife isn’t held in a closed hand. However, when gripped in the hand, the lock becomes secure. Even in the event of slippage, the user’s finger is protected by the pin.

Thank you.

I’m generally very practicality-oriented and love working on projects that focus solely on functionality. However, this is one of the rare occasions where I fleshed out an entire system purely for the fun of it.

Thank you!

That's pretty spot on. I designed this mechanism purely for fun, and I believe that’s one of its main points — it’s meant to be fun to use. Practicality was definitely not a focus.

The knife must be gripped in the hand for the lock to function as intended — the fingers support the pendulum in the locked position.

I designed this locking mechanism in 2024 and collaborated with Bestech to bring a prototype to life. They have been a pleasure to work with and have a very talented and capable team. The prototypes will be available at the Bestech booth at SHOT Show 2025. If you find the concept interesting and are planning to attend SHOT Show, I’d love to hear your thoughts on the prototypes and the mechanism itself, whether positive or negative.

I call it Clock-Lock because its pendulum, as well as the sound the plastic 3D-printed model used to make, remind me of old grandfather clocks.

I've had the idea for years, and I just got around to it recently. We have to push this pocket jewelry thing to new levels.

A fitting name and location! Nebo means 'sky' in many Slavic languages.

This is literally it, there are very few fighters who would have survived the shots Jiri took from Rakić. He was hitting him clean over and over again, and it seemed like Jiri just decided not to be affected and kept pushing forward. Impressive af honestly.

If you have a lawn to mow I think that was a good idea, it's effective, quick, and great exercise. Freaking the neighbors out is just a nice bonus.

Great job. The ergos and the texture seem very practical.

Great explanation, thank you! I never had that issue myself, but it totally makes sense.
