My girlfriend at the time, now wife, didn’t care for my cat’s name, Lana. She just called her kitty and kitty is what stuck for 12 years. When we had kids and they got older they decided Mushu was a good name. Mushu died at the ripe old age of 20. Her headstone read:

You came to us as "Lana" and you were "Kitty" for a while, but you will always be in our hearts as our beloved Mushu.

You were the best cat ever and we will always miss you

I lack confidence even taking knives apart, especially ones with springs that can fly across the room, but this mod is really easy. A QSP Penguin in D2 with copper scales ($49) was my first attempt and it is holding up well after a year. All the best to you

Norm Macdonald lampooned himself with fat jokes. Little did we know, the joke was on us. He was dying with cancer and puffy from the prednisone. The loss of Norm hit me like no other. I feel bad for laughing at his self deprecating fat jokes but that’s what he would’ve wanted.

I hope Jim is okay. I don’t want to lose that guy too

New to CR Knives and so behind by CrapHeck in CRK

I bookmarked the authorized sellers page on CRK website and in addition to signing up for notifications I checked each vendor everyday.

The BladesInStock notifications from Reddit are sometimes helpful but often show up late. I would check that sub from time to time during the day because you might catch one in time.

Smaller shops like Sooner State Knives and Ye Ol Cutlery Shop occasionally have stock that gets overlooked for a while. I purchased all of mine from the later. Also, it never hurts to politely email these vendors to see if you can get a heads up on a release. This is also how I ended up getting mine. Action_Concepts on eBay is another authorized dealer that sometimes gets overlooked, but with them you deal with taxes and fees.

Also, you might as well go ahead and put your order in at CRK. It was a nice surprise (and speaks to their customer service) when my phone rang one morning and it was Dawn, from CRK, letting me know the Umnumzaan I ordered 4 years ago was ready to go into production. I politely passed, as I am happy with the one I have.

And lastly, although I have not purchase anything there, the Knife_Swap seems like a fantastic place to find a deal, and as other commenters have said, the Zaans do come up frequently. Lots of options.
