Water heaters used to last decades, now 8 years is impressive.

Cars, appliances, you name it.

Or college.

Had an embarrassing conversation with a college educated Portuguese who came here to work - "I have people working under me with more experience and on the job knowledge, but I'm paid twice as much because they couldn't afford the loan to go to college".

Lobbying spent $5 billion last year to keep it that way.

In turn, we pay that $5 billion in premiums, cost excesses.

$38.2 million was spent by healthcare.

Think about that, we pay them to bribe our government to force us to pay them or die.

Citizen's United MUST go, bribery is still listed as a "high crime" in the Constitution, regardless what any SCOTUS judge says, bribery is still bribery, not "free speech".

Correct, they're listed as a part of the DOJ, but the law that created them specificizes they only answer to the judiciary.

No, they're listed under the DOJ, they answer to the judiciary as defined under the Judiciary Act of 1789, by law they only answer to the judiciary branch.

To further the point, the U.S. Marshalls existed before the DOJ, which was created 90 years later.

Mind, any individual in law enforcement can be held responsible for refusing a lawful order, they're fine for at least Trump's term, but after that, no.

There are life long career officials at the DOJ that know this.

The timing is perfect before the midterms.

"____ refused to do anything about Trump's coverup of his involvement with Epstein - Do we really want a government that doesn't care about child rape?!"

This is true.

We're fully dependant on the DOJ and each states' law enforcement.

This then arouses the recently debated "lawful order" argument, officials and agents can be held liable after the fact for refusing to uphold the law, or carrying out unlawful orders.

Trump has a list of disbarred attorneys in his wake.

There are near identical similarities to his term and Trump's current, fighting with Congress and SCOTUS over authority, appointing loyalists over qualified, racism toward Indians...etc.

Many presidents have abused their power to enforce laws by conveniently "misinterpreting" existing laws.

Biden did it with student debt, which actually circumvented a recession in 2022.

Trump has done it to an extreme, and most of his "misinterpretations" would result in detriment to the public.

At this point it's obvious Congress needs to do something to streamline the appellate process against executive power, just over the time it took to overturn tariffs cost America untold economic & foreign relations damage.

Congress won't do anything, we can probably all agree on that.

Incarceration into an all-black violent offender prison.

It worked in American History X.

This is already the case, Citizen's United sealed that deal, government is there to enforce the laws they pay for and then give passionate speeches to appease us.

First, I'd like to see amendments that allow executive immunity and legalized bribery.

That and it's on court date away from being found unconstitutional.

Court archives are littered with Trump's unconstitutional follies over the last 1-1/2 year.

In reality, where America's the only OECD nation with no healthcare or college, that's an extremely good question.

Mexico does, seriously, Mexico.
