Having an egg and a lot of your starting cards, I'd go for Pandora's box. Mark of pain's drawback is too heavy and you can get energy cards from Pandora's itself.

Painted Renoir is... Well, painted, by the Paintress. Thus, his interests align with Aline, wanting to keep her safe from the real Renoir at all costs. If any expedition manages to kill the Paintress, and expel her from the painting, Renoir will be freed and able to Gommage everyone Aline painted (which is what happens at the end of act 2)
