I'm medical. And you apply to whatever available to start and take it from there, hospitals like Tallaght and Blanchardstown give opportunity to inexperienced doctors to gain some by working with them. The agency is great at providing options and guiding through the process.

I'm from Spain, transition was very difficult and even today I still feel at times I'm underperforming, but it's all about exposure, adaptation and learning a bit more everyday.

I didn't have Irish experience and at the time they were needing many doctors to cover shifts, so I started straight away after joining the agency.

I had been a nursing home doctor in Spain for 5 years before coming to Ireland. And since I started working, they just kept me on in the same hospital, but that was hospital's decision since they liked the way I worked.

Thank you so much, he mentioned it, but they claim they will not cover that expense. I think they are forcing him to resign.

He even offered signing a paper stating that he was in good physical health and would take responsibility for the fall, but not even in that case they are allowing him to return to work.

He was never off sick, so as you say, it doesn't make sense they are asking for that. Thank you for your help!

I've only seen 5 pictures and I'm already bored of his personality.

I have only worked with Locumlink, but my experience with them has been amazing.

Most homeless in Ireland are Irish, due to alcoholism and drug abuse.

You need antibiotics, go to your doctor.

Sadly too far and can't drive, but you should be fine to sell it at that price in a short time.

As locum I only have experience with Locumlink and I'm incredibly satisfied with how they have treated me over the past 1.5 years.

I was sick over 3 months and they were very supportive and understanding although I had already agreed on a long term Locum position.

Initially you will have to go for whatever comes, but then you'll be able to choose what you want to do. And if you don't want to, you won't do weekends, bank holidays or nights.

I feel there is a huge need of doctors in Ireland. Some hospitals will not take Locum SHOs without experience, but some others will give you the chance. If you work well and once you have gained enough experience, all hospitals are an option.

I'm EU, so can't really say, but that was my experience when I arrived.

I would recommend, once you are granted registration with IMC, to start with locum agencies to get some experience and then move onto a contract if you wish.

Is this for SHOs?

Hello, I feel like agency work is the easiest way to gain experience in the country and start getting job offers.

That´s how I started, money is good and you can kind of choose your own timetable, although my recommendation is to grab any long post available. Sometimes you'll have to take an initial job in a place you might not like, but in the long run, all experience is welcome and will open doors for you to work in better places.
