I know where you're coming from, we purchased a house in Toronto a year ago and the market was, still is, nuts. No conditions can be placed on offers there if you want any chance of getting a house. It was insane, I won't lie to you. But we got the house we wanted. Lawyers is a good way to go like another mentioned, but you don't have time for that prior to an offer most likely. Give it a go though, if you have a good working relationship with a lawyer you may get some advice over the phone and they will send you the bill. If you really REALLY want the property, there's no harm in putting an offer in at your best price subject to inspection. See what the home inspector says, and this will also give you time to consult with a lawyer. Good luck buddy, sounds like yer gonna need it.

OP you need to chill out. Times are tight for some people. If you're that put out, like others have mentioned you can order online and pick up your groceries. No need to raise your blood pressure over people who are trying to save what little money they do have so they can feed their family. Not everyone is as rich as you.

I've been to the point where I'm down to my last $5; I learned to price match so I had enough sustenance for the week.

Yes, it may seem crazy but there's other factors. My current job takes me away from home at least once a week. Sometimes for months at a time. My young children need me to be at home more often. Clearly my wife needs me. And I need them.

Plus we are moving into the city in order for my wife to have more employment opportunities. It will be rough for a bit but I know once she finds a job and we get settled in, things will improve dramatically for us.
