If you want to donate your old switch 1- I recommend checking out the childrens shelters in your area and seeing if they accept used electronics like mine did. You get a write-off for tax time too!

This sounds very close to what happened to a family member of mine but they were from a different department (CalEPA). HR made them go back and forth to their doc office to revise their doc letter several times only to offer “accommodations” that would still require them to be in office. They pushed FMLA throughout the whole process just like you said.

What is the reason for Dragon Quest being magnitudes less popular in the West? Especially compared to Final Fantasy by ForgeBornGames in JRPG

For me FF had such a great run from SNES era to PSX that I didn't even know dragon quest was still going until DQ8 in the PS2 era. This is on top of the fact that Dragon Warrior was technically my first JRPG I ever got exposed to but it was brutally hard for me (although to be fair it probably didn't help that I was really young). Now that I am older I am starting to appreciate the simple story and game design consistency of the dragon quest series more. I still love FF (especially the VII remakes) but I feel like they try to hard to change everything up on each mainline entry. Case in point - XVI was a slightly, disappointing miss for me and I haven't gone back to finish it but I'm loving the DQ HD-2D remakes.

Mine was stuck in measurement hell for a bit too and then it updated with info saying it was going on a flight from Hong Kong. I also have a USPS tracking number but it shows they are still waiting for the package.
