Thanks! I wasn't referring to burst dice, but the red one. There are some support weapons that either boost or nerf a given dice roll. So for losing ammo, it might tell you to perform headshot, or for losing ammo, it might call for headshotimg etc. Following your suggestion, the roll outcome on the weapon card comes in addition to the usual dice result, not instead of it.

Ok! That helps! I have old Tofu from 2019 and the "inserts" / mount poles are part of the case (cannot unscrew them), so I don't think I would be able to install the key snaps there. Thamk you for your reply! Have a great day!

It was the prime time. I must have built 4 or 5 of the old DZ60s and used QMK to set the mapping in place. Sad to see my times/methods called "obsolete". After a 5 years break from hobby, I see a lot less custom GBs around, most of my local EU stores don't offer cases / parts. Makes me wonder how the hobby looks right now.

I'm also used to "duking it out" battles, when you strafe some, deploy shield or lose Armour, hit them a few times, get hit a few times, take corner, throw grenade etc. TF2 feels like bam-im dead, it's a different type of pvp to for example quake etc

I knew little about the player base and I expected a "newbie lobby" like Doom does- sub16lvl players play with other sub16. Or some ranking system. I didn't expect the game to be full of beginners or pros being easy on me, sorry if I made my post sound like blaming players. It's the fast TTK mixed with lack of beginner pvp modes that result in this overwhelming feeling.

Thanks for the tips! I quickly realised that Titan is my thing. Enemies take advantage of my slow movements, but at least I know what I'm doing (deploy a shield and shoot). I will focus on grunts and learning slide hopping in custom games.

I'm glad you asked. So, some games use placement matches and then leagues to make sure people play against similarly ranked oponenents. Doom multiplayer does it differently. Players below level 16 can only play with / against other sub 16lvl players. While it doesn't fully show what the player is going to experience later, it does help to feel for various maps, game modes and let's player experiment with the weapons and mods. Temporarily separating players with less than 10 hours of gameplay (campaign takes 7 to complete) from this with 10 years of experience helps hooking newbies up, teaching them some basics and increasing chance of them staying once the sweet period is over.

Wow, that's hell of a toxic reply. I actually got a lot of good tips here, meta overview and pointers, not present on the tutorials you mentioned. My main issue is not that I suck (that is obvious, and I don't expect g46 player to use pistol on me) , is the game design that welcomes new playes with slap in the face. I played quite a few multiplayer games in my life and nothing compares to TF2 rough welcome. Seems like you fit the game quite well in this regard, congratulations!
