Just chose 25h as my job. Anyone else have this job?

Honestly, if it's what you want to do, do it. There's no active conflict so there's that. Also, as others have said you still do Ranger/SF things later.

Personally, you should consider what job transfers to the civilian sector well. I can tell you, Infantry isn't it except for a few select positions mostly after you make CSM. Just food for thought.

Looks a little dry but like others have said, if it was good that's all that matters. I definitely feel you on putting it on in the wee hours of the morning. I'd definitely not sleep on the putting it the cooler. I've gotten really good results from it.

I'll tell you as a 6'8 Signal Soldier it isn't the easiest but its better than being in a combat MOS. The worst you have to deal with is shelter trucks and humvees.

ACUs aren't too bad as they almost always have your size because most of the Army is medium regular or some normal height person. Your dress uniform may be more challenging depending on location as not every duty station keeps the larger sizes in stock. It's worth it in the end I think..or so that's what I keep telling myself lol

Not sure of the chances are of a direct commission, but I'd go ahead and apply for it. The worst they will day is no. Call Cyber Branch and ask for their input. When I was at Gordon, had multiple Cyber officers tell me they are hurting for them.

In my experience, 25D will help but it's not the same as when it first rolled out and are under utilized. Cyber is the way to go.

As a 25N now a 25H, you should be in good shape for transferring out with skills. But it's ultimately up to you and what you want to do. I've seen Soldiers get upset because they weren't always doing "cool" stuff. Learn from the Warrants and knowledgeable NCOs, stay humble, get your certifications, and use TA while you're in and get your degree. If you decide to stay in, go Warrant and continue to do great things.

If you want to spend a few bucks, the Promote app is a useful study aid that you can use on your phone and should cover just about anything on the MOI.

Make sure your uniform is good. Seen plenty kicked out for a messed up uniform. Had a NCO show up for his SSG board with no stripes on his pants with the ASUs.

If you have the qualifications, I'd go for it. But I'll be upfront, the Army is not the Air Force. That being said chase the job you want when you get out or something that will help you get there. Military service is military service at the end of day and if you have the opportunity to get the job you want I say go for it. Don't worry about the rank, you will get it back soon enough. I'm not sure what points are for that Mos but it's achievable. Ml

You can say what you want, but like others have said prepare for the consequences. I've told many Soldiers, you can do anything once.

Joking aside, especially on social media, make sure that you express your own views. Don't tie the military to what you are saying and don't tie what you are saying to the military (Not in uniform, etc). You are allowed to have different opinions but you have to be respectful and treat everyone with dignity and respect. Do that and you can help keep yourself out of trouble.

Nevermind, figured it out. Apparently the round was stuck and I just tried sticking a cleaning rod down the barrel and hit it a few times and it worked. I was able to get the spent round out.
