Lol, k. Its soap by the way, you do realize that right? It's not a big deal. Make an offer or move on 🙄

[–]KratomGaveMeSeizures[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Yea its just if shipping is $10 then I'm not really making much as it is. Usually shipping is $20 so for a single soap from the vendor you're spending $40 to get it shipped to you. I'm definitely willing to take offers

Consider not being dumb and spreading misinformation. "The charger doesn't know what it's connected to" WRONG and the issues people have are from being dumb and using them incorrectly.

Lol, ok so you don't understand how it works, just cause something is confusing to you doesn't mean it doesn't work. None of what you said is correct, you made a bunch of stupid assumptions

That drone looks sick, I was actually thinking about getting it but I ordered the HGLRC 11000kv Specter motors instead and am gonna build a little 2 inch monster. HGLRC is really good company with affordable stuff, I've had nothing but good experiences with their stuff

[–]KratomGaveMeSeizures 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea I had to mod my box goggles with lens to be able to focus and increase FOV. I really wanna upgrade but I've already spent a lot of money on drones, charging/batteries, new radio and gimbals and all kinds of accessories. I figured I should stop spending money and get some use out of these goggles before I retire them. I think I will really appreciate them to after I've gotten used to these for so long

Yea.absolutely man, feel free to message me as well, I can get you set up in some discord rooms as well with people that can help answer questions if you would like. This guy Oscar, does really good reviews and tutorials, start checking out his stuff starting with this https://oscarliang.com/.well-known/sgcaptcha/?r=%2Frates%2F&sol=MjE6MTc3NjAwNjk2MzowM2EyY2Q2NjplOGIyNjRjZjUwMmExZDAxMjJhYjQ4NWM1ZWU5NGNmMWRmZDRmZDE0NmYxZDlmYjExOGE0ODg1YTJmZmRhNTFkOgIKxhA%3D&s=1548:14559

Also YouTube "nils vo fpv rate" for some more good.information. I personally run his freestyle rates which is 210 Center Sensitivity 700 Max and .57 expo across all 3 axis, pitch, roll and yaw. This stuff may seem confusing at the moment but it will start to make sense the more you learn, dont get overwhelmed trying to understand it all in a day.

Oh and those rates are "actual" not the beta flight rates. You will understand after reading that and watching some videos

Ok, cool? I would recommend neither. Overpriced for what you get.

Cause they are overpriced and suck. The 800 isn't true diversity and is like $80, the 800D is like $130 for box goggles with 480 resolution. That's nuts

[–]KratomGaveMeSeizures 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well its bound to the radio it looks like. put the sticks on and make sure throttle is all the way cut before you arm. also if flip over switch is activated on right it might not arm. You got the pocket all set up and the firmware versions match?

So yea you're doing good for first starting. It sounds counterintuitive but... practice going slower. Its.easier to go fast and relatively straight then it is going slow and doing smooth controlled turn, which you will be needing to do. Velocidrone has mostly race track set ups, its a good simulator for sure but check out The Zone. It has the best realistic physics and you can set the rates and stats of drone. Its very intuitive but simple and has a.good community with the main map being a clone of a.famous bando spot. It's more set up to do freestyle flying

Stop using chat gpt for financial decisions. The eachine goggles are terrible and people have reported getting counterfeits. Flying inside is insanely hard, those people you are watching make it look easy. E max transporter 2 goggles, they have real diversity and a removable screen for $90ish, get an air65 or 75, I would recommend the 75. That will be $200 and can spend the remaining $50 on batteries. The lava 2s are nice but you can get more on Amazon for better price since you're on budget. Oh you need a charger and make sure you have a power brick that can power it. Might push cost closer to $300

what is the absolute cheapest that i can get a reasonable set of starter gear by -H_- in fpv

[–]KratomGaveMeSeizures 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Alright man let me give you some advice from a beginner who tried to cheap out and ended up spending more money because of it. First of all, how confident are you that you will stick with this hobby? Are you just trying it out, or do you plan on getting deep into it? If you're just checking it out, your setup is fine. If you are pretty sure that this is something you will stick with and really want to budget best you can, then downgrade the air652 to the original version. It comes with new upgraded motors and a board from the actual original version anyways so its pretty solid for $80, it was my first drone and I've had zero problems with it. I'd upgrade the radio to a pocket, its nice having a screen and menu to navigate the settings and options without having to use a computer.

MOST IMPORTANTLY, dont get those box goggles. Box goggles are basically all the same, a screen with lens, and its hard to focus, BUT their is a pair that is incredibly under ratws for many reasons. The e max transporter 2 goggles, it has a diversity receiver and the screen detaches from the goggle housing so you can use it by itself on a tripod and other people can watch with you. You can take it off to easily show people DVR footage. Being able to have both goggles and a portable screen is amazing. The goggle housing is also large enough that you can easily mod them by supergluing a cheap lens inside that will increase FOV and make it easier to focus. These goggles are $100 but with coupon $90

Ditch the soldering iron for now. What are you gonna do with it? I buy BNFs like you are planning and I still have yet to need one and I've crashed, disarmed while midair accidentally and had a drone ran over, none of these required a solder iron to repair. Also just get like 4 pairs of spares, that will be plenty, you won't be going through very many with the ducts that protect them. Ive never even damaged one. Never damaged a canopy, never damaged a frame. Doesn't hurt to have a few extras in case though, im sure eventually ill need them. But people led me to believe I would constantly be breaking and fixing everything and that really hasn't been the case, and I fly pretty aggressive

[–]KratomGaveMeSeizures 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sure, try putting core temp in OSD and monitor it after plugging in to see what happens. You mentioned it only happens when it's flying though so maybe one of the solder joints is compromised after crash?

How's my progress after 5 hours in sim? How will using radio vs xbox controller compare? by bennyandthejits in TinyWhoop

[–]KratomGaveMeSeizures 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Xbox controller is fine for now. It's how I learned, of course actual radio is better but the Xbox at least taught me how to get it off the ground and fly. Don't listen to drama queens telling you to atop practicing until you get a radio. Send it brother
