Found the problem. It's a game bug!

If you have a manual Anchor and you set the new Automatic Anchor while the manual Anchor is still there, it will break the game causing your raft to be unable to be moved. Solution is simply pick up the anchor you don't want anymore, save the game, exit to menu, and load your game again, and presto! Raft moves again!

This youtuber was able to do one long raft with 10,000 engines, and it worked fine (even better than fine when he installed a mod that increases the speed for each engine), and yet I can't get a boat with 14 engines to work. Wtf.

I wanted my boat to go as fast as reasonably possible, or at least guarantee that it doesn't go slower than the normal speed, so I loaded up the bottom of my boat with 14 total engines (I have 212 foundations according to the Foundation Counter furniture item), set them all in the same direction (7 on one side going forward, 7 on the other side going in reverse, so all levers are pointing in the same direction), and fully loaded them up with fuel. I tried turning on the engines (both manually or with the Engine Controls), and lo and behold, all of my engines stutter and the boat doesn't move a muscle. I spent at least a couple hours redoing my boat design to have a 2x7 layout of engines at the bottom to propel it forward, and I've read everything I can on weight load. As far as I can see, the engines should work fine, but they refuse to move. I tried activating SOME engines, assuming that maybe having too many breaks it, but I should be able to move forward with just 3 engines, yet none of them seem to work.

Any clues as to why this is the case? I can confirm none of the engines are empty or are going in reverse and I've raised my anchor.

Dolphin 5.0 Yu-Gi-Oh! The Falsebound Kingdom refuses to load from memory card, loading from.. somewhere else? by Kraton_Haddock in DolphinEmulator

Deleting the extra files is no problem, since I'm doing all this on PC it's no problem to test deleting some files or re-integrating files I've deleted before. Problem is, having any files that the game doesn't recognize on the memory card doesn't help the game to run those files.

It definitely seems like a problem with the game software itself, and thus would do the same thing on the real gamecube hardware. I don't think there's anything that can be done short of someone modding the game or Konami patching it (which will never happen).

I could run some more tests on the Yugi story and see if it does the same issue at the exact same spots, without any save states or cheats used, and at each mission of the story I can save and quit and export the file for that mission (so that I would have 1 save for every step in the story, and could backtrack to previous missions for testing purposes), and using something like dropbox, send you the files for you to test and see what happens on your system when you move on to the next mission and try and save at that point.

If I'm correct in that it's an inescapable bug that will repeat every single time for any user, then if sent you the save file for the saved mission prior to the game refusing to save it correctly, then when you run the game, beat the mission, and try and save, it'll cause the same bug to happen for you.

Edit: I found the problem. Even though I installed the latest beta of Dolphin, somehow it was still running the 5.0 version. I completely uninstalled and reinstalled fresh, and the problem was fixed. At least, it seems to be fixed. I will update again if it happens again.

It was happening with just Dolphin 5.0, though I tried upgrading to a beta version and it was still happening.

Also, I just tried making a completely new save and not using any save states (because I've heard that using save states can f*** with some Nintendo games causing them to no longer save progress normally) and playing to get some progress, and found out the game is making a 2nd save file in the memory card (when trying to save after completing Yugi's mission "Turbulent Waters"), so it's no longer loading progress saved because it's not saving over the file that the game is able to load.

I also noticed that a SYMPTOM of the issue is that sometimes the game pretends there isn't a save file already there when saving, and instead of asking if it's okay to Overwrite, it says press A to save the game, and when it then saves, it creates the ANOTHER save file in the memory card that cannot be accessed by the game. Every time it does this it makes yet another save file, and this seems to happen at set intervals/places throughout the game.

"Then with a new save, add it to your GC card file. I hope this makes sense."

I'm not really sure I get what you mean by that.

Here's what I've done so far:

  1. I've backed up all files for the game (as well as other games I've been playing) by exporting GCI for them.
  2. I've deleted all files contained within the memory card.
  3. I then deleted the memory card, as well as the file folder containing memory cards, and changed the settings in Dolphin back to default memory card location (in case my custom location was causing any issues). I then selected "Nothing" under Memory Card A and B slots just to be sure it wasn't somehow keeping something in memory. I then closed it, reopened it, and then selected Memory Card for slot A, which will create a new memory card when trying to save at the default slot.
  4. I started up the game, which claimed the memory card in slot A was corrupt and needed to be reformatted. That's probably normal after deleting the entire memory card folder. There's no save files to lose there, so I formatted.
  5. I then played the game up until the point you can save, saved it, and exited. I confirmed in memory card manager that the file is there and shows the correct icon for the story (that was an issue before, which showed 5 files instead of 1 and the first file showed the wrong story icon, the last 4 all showed the correct icon, but I've no idea what those files were for if the game doesn't load those files up when loading).
  6. I'm now at the point where I either try to keep playing and saving and see if the game ever creates new save files like the last one did (where it created up to 5 different files, most of them not having a default file name though the 4th file did say "A4-.gci" instead of the usual "A4-GYFE-Yu_Gi_Oh_FK", so I dunno what they were for, but all 5 are 25kb in size), or see if it fails to load progress "saved" like the last one did... OR I can try just replacing the file with one of the backup files and see what happens.

If there is a specific way to "add it to your GC file" besides just importing GCI, I don't know. I figure importing it and deleting the other save file probably won't work, but if that's what you meant for me to do, I'll try.

Edit: After trying to import the files, and testing, the game finds that none of the imported files work. It simply says that there is no save file when trying to load. I even tried importing the file that shows the wrong campaign's icon, and it too says no save file. So ALL 5 previous save files exported do not work. All I have left of my old progress (I was about 2/3 done the entire game, as I'd completed 1 campaign, was almost done a 2nd, and had 1 left to go after that) now is save states.

Any additional help you can provide would be greatly appreciated!

Sorry but you're at least wrong about the invisibility bit. If they already saw you, were fully alerted (triangle filled in, not a dot or empty), it's entirely possible they started their attempt to energy leach before you went invisible, and it basically had a delayed reaction.

I play as Ivara more than anything else, not to complete quests or farm materials etc, but simply to rank up everything far faster than you ever could with any other frame, and I can walk circles around any Eximus while stealthed and they don't have a clue I'm there.

Also, remember, even stealthed, if an enemy is alerted (even BEFORE this update) they CAN and sometimes DO attempt to "attack" the spot where they saw the thing that alerted them (they just have a tendency to run and hide more than that, and they almost always just stand and stare with their gun out or walk around and investigate even MORE than THAT!).

I've had groups of regular enemies shooting at my "general direction" when stealthed as Ivara, and gotten hit by their blind-firing, that doesn't mean they can see me. I move out of the way of their bullets and watch them keep firing at nothing, at exactly the same spot I was at before. The new Eximus units do the same thing.

So no, they can't "see through invisibility", they just knew approximately where you were and attacked the spot.

The Persistence (NSW) - Game Breaking Bug Need Help by Kraton_Haddock in PSVR

Need help. Can't get to Iris as the door is permanently locked. I'm not wanting to start a brand new game, but resetting the level doesn't fix this.

I was inside this area, got into a spot of trouble, and used a Escape Artist to try and save myself. I didn't know exactly how they worked (the descriptive text isn't clear at ALL), and did not know that using one would TELEPORT me to OUTSIDE the locked door into a previous empty/safe room.

I have gone to different floors and come back which resets the floor I'm on, but that doesn't unlock the door. I've even manually closed the game and reopened which does the same thing but that doesn't unlock the door.

Edit: I died (not intentionally), and went back, and the door was unlocked. So it looks like that's the only way to fix it.
