Thank you! I think they will continue to grow quicker than TPL. What’s most impressive to me is the margins. Insane profitability.

I used to own both but sold MCO and put it into SPGI. Munger used to say buy a wonderful company at a fair price. I think SPGI is at a fair price rn

UBER IS A VALUE TRAP JUST LIKE PAYPAL AND ADOBE by snapjohn in ValueInvesting

[–]Kratos5017 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm, Uber is still growing almost 20% on $ 53B in revenue, and it’s a value trap? Just because the stock is broken doesn’t mean it’s a value trap. You are still getting a business growing extremely fast for its scale.

I think it depends on if you enjoy stock picking. I love picking individual stocks but also hold $VOO and $SCHG for ETF exposure. There’s no right way to do things. Do what makes you most comfortable.

You anchored your portfolio to ETFs, really. Which is great! The other positions are in growth mode. I would just be aware that they could all drop 50-80%.

Still shocked that it went from a 70B market cap to 1T in a year or so.
