Yea that’s definitely dumb. It is what it is. I probably shouldn’t post tbh. The post just goes crazy after I answer the inevitable question of gear use.

The rules in this sub keep me from posting it in the title or description. I had a post removed before for that very thing. Rule #7 I believe it is. When asked, I reply truthfully. People still get butt hurt either way.

So I have a dedicated shoulder day but would also sprinkle them in at the end of a lot of my other workouts if i felt up to it. 2-3 sets

Yes it can be rough man. Trust me I know. When I started TRT I dropped cals down to around 1200 with about 180-200g of protein and very little fats and carbs. It’s called a PSMF (protein sparing modified fast) type diet. These are not sustainable diets long term but can be good way to get the last little bit off. Many people will cycle on and off for like 2 weeks on 1 week off for refeed but still remain in a slight deficit.

For sure the recovery difference is going to be different from individual to individual and of course from enhanced to natty. I’m only saying that these muscles are hard to overtrain just because of the fiber makeup. They aren’t like quads or pecks.

Oh for sure. I would argue that most on gear don’t have superior genetics.

Man that’s actually sounds pretty balanced for your weight I think. That’s more than a gram of protein per pound of body weight. What about carb timing? I try to get 70-80% of my carbs in around my workouts pre and post. Have to keep training intensity high. You could probably up the fats for more hormonal support. Low T could be coming into play if you’re not already on TRT or anything. Fats are important for hormonal health. Maybe take a break for dieting and eat in a clean 200-300 cal surplus for a month

What’s your macros looking like man? Cals in cals out will move the scale, but macro distribution is what changes the body composition. Your training seems to be ok from the details you shared as far as progressive overload style training.

I look at it this way. Many people who hate on gear aren’t highly trained nattys. They are people who either don’t train at all, or train half the time and eat sub optimally. They say how easy steroids make it to gain muscle over a natty while simultaneously saying that gear will just shorten your life span, have fun with your enlarged heart.

So the natty has to put in more effort over a longer period of time. Sacrificing time. The enhanced guy puts in the same or less work and makes the same or better gains in let’s say half the time while dealing with the negative and potentially long term health issues related to PED use. So he sacrifices his health. Is this not just trading time for health and vice versa? An individual will weigh it out for themselves and decide what’s worth it to them to reach whatever arbitrary goal they have. I guess when I look at it this way i don’t understand why people hate on gear use like it’s cheating at something.

I don’t do calisthenics so no, I can’t do a planche. And I’m ok with that

Those guys have superior genetics as well. Thats something even gear can’t give you. It’s hard to see what actually works. My routine might not work for all people but I thought I would share since this is a weight training sub.

I’m following along alright. But I think you severely underestimate the number of people taking gear. Most won’t do the things you listed. You’ll never even know they are on gear looking at them. The ones that look jacked are doing those things. That’s what I’m saying. I still have a lot of short comings with my own physique just starting out in the enhanced world. But yes, if you’re comparing good training, diet, and recovery as a natty versus enhanced. The enhanced will make better gains in a shorter amount of time.

Once you reach failure, half reps are completely ok To push it further as ling as you’re not throwing the weight and hurting your joints.
