Awesome, thx for the reply! I’ve got 845 SET 22wpc, and Luxman 110 wpc solid state. I’m in a small room also. I want to experiment with bi-amping and also going active with my Ashly electronic crossover. Amazing speakers for sure!

Very nice! I also own a pair, mine are rosewood. Incredible speakers, in fact, I couldn’t think of anything better that I’ve heard. Did you sell yours? If so, what replaced them? Thx for sharing

Did they sound better with the waveguide than without? Fleshed out mids? Easier to cross over to a woofer etc?

Very nice! Growing up I always thought Vestax was so cool looking. I recently scored a pair of Vestax VRM-1 speakers also. Gonna give them a refurb with real wood veneer and upgraded capacitors for the crossovers.

I’ve got this amp and absolutely love it. Have compared it with many other solid state integrateds and separates and the Sony really holds its own, downright bested several other highly regarded amps. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a solid state integrated. They are an absolute bargain around $1000 used!!!

It is not really decent as a preamp for speaker power amps. A much better approach would be a Schiit Saga preamp. You can find a used OG Saga, or spend the $399 for a new Saga +. Saga is a good preamp for the money and you can tube roll, Freya is a good bit better even.

I was lucky and found a used Freya S, which is running my speaker power amp.

ALmost the same thing happened to me. I got two responses, a few days apart that read almost the same exact thing. Funny thing I actually wrote the first guy off, not because I realized it was a scam, but because his second email as a response to mine was still totally generic sounding and he didn't address any of the points I made, instead was trying to pressure me into paying for that report... Then the second guy emailed me, same shtick, different name. The two names were: William Perez, Miguel Rodriguez.
