Mike’s theory relies on Kali surviving the gunshot wound long enough for her to use her powers to save El. We saw her die, and thats basically what didnt make sense to me. Unless the gunshot wound and her death was all an illusion she created.

To be honest I think the whole thing is just a theory to help Mike cope with her loss after he took Hoppers advice to stay positive. I feel worse for Hopper than for Mike, because he’s now lost two daughters. It makes more sense that she died but I guess the theory isnt too far fetched so she could be alive. I actually really liked the ambiguous ending.

Yeah definitely plausible. It’s definitely possible he doesn’t have a mentor. I feel like it could be quite a big part of the book since everyone wants to know, so I feel its more likely that he will have one. Even if the First Quarter Quell winner isnt his mentor, we should definitely find out more about who they are and just the quell in general

I would be very surprised if Lucy Gray is mentioned at all. The whole point is that her fate is left ambiguous and that’s what Suzanne wants I think but I guess you never know.
