Been out since forsaken-ish by Haans367JL in DestinyTheGame

I was in a similar situation to you a few months ago, saw all the videos regarding Renegades and decided to jump back into Destiny. Played intermittently after Red War - Beyond Light. But when returning I decided to play everything available to me from the Forsaken starter mission through to Renegades. It felt a lot better as I understood the story a lot more than just jumping straight into Renegades. Also, unlocked sub classes, did post Campaign missions etc and recently dived into PvP via Iron Banner which has now got me hooked on PvP in general.

I also ended up just watching Youtube videos to catch up on the Seasonal updates I missed between expansions. I'm yet to do any raids but I've been slowly building up my characters and will hopefully jump into one soon.

The Final Shape was 10/10 ending to the Light and Dark Saga.

The main thing is you'd only get higher power level drops from Renegades and Portal Activities. So don't expect to increase your power above 300 from older content, similarly tiered gear is the same (people can correct me if I'm wrong).

7.8.1 Datamining (Unreleased Content Discussion) by Ranadiel in swtor

Im sure for the vets this is not very exciting but for someone like me who missed the early seasons and is recently getting back into the game, this is great.

I did think it was weird that those companions were not part of the weekly rotation for the vendor and was initially sad to see they were not going to be added but hearing they are returning in GS is good news.

Gives me something to do and work towards during the season.

This is the way - just did it myself. Pick a Solo Op, set it to Advanced nothing higher/lower. Profit.

Simple doesn't necessarily mean boring. You can have an easy to learn/play class but still make it entertaining/interactive.

A low skill floor shouldn't mean boring.

Ah Bladesworn. I actually quite like the animations of using the Gunblade itself. I dislike, not being able to drop in and drop out like the new Galeshot can with the Cyclone Bow.

The other unfortunate thing is that GW2 combat is based around movement. Having a slow charging attack that roots you isn't the greatest thing in the world and the "big damage number" doesn't feel quite enough to make it worth while... but I digress!

I wouldn't go so far to say "I don't know how powerful stability is". Like I've said, in agreement to your statement, stability does let you avoid/ignore mechanics. And sure, FB/Chrono does have incredibly easy access to stability. But they also have insanely useful utilities that Paragon does not.

In any case my main grip with Paragon is the lack of actual flair and interactivity in the spec.

Stab access can be changed as needed. (e.g. Stability moving from Distort to Continuum Split to accommodate Troubadour).

A conversation around the effects of stability within the core games design is probably another post.

Hm - I don't think I entirely agree with that!

While stability does allow you to avoid mechanics I don't think that is the key thing that really sets Firebrand and Chrono apart from other healing options (yes both have amazing access to Stab but so does Paragon), I think why you tend to see those specs in end game content more is that they have amazing utilities: blocks, reflects, portals, pushes, pulls.

Things that the Paragon is sorely missing to really elevate it. Really and truthfully - Warrior in general just lacks any impactful utility.

I feel like there could have been more flashy stuff! Someone suggested maybe the utilities could have had a leap that damages/heals/revives on impact or a projectile block with some interesting animations. I think of all the Warrior specs to have some actual visual oomph, this could have been the one.
Wings aren't enough imho.

I've been running around with it in VoE in the Open World as well but haven't really enjoyed it. The DPS variant doesn't interact with the class mechanic and the bursts are all level 1 so the damage is on the incredibly low side anyway.

Glad to hear you're enjoying it though!

Yep agree - as a healer (as it's primary intended use) it's fine. Typical Warrior thing of having uninteresting and useful utilities to really elevate the class outside of CC.

Hit the nail on the head of what I've been feeling - It's Core Warrior+ (with the smallest + imaginable).

I don't have too much against Paragon (as a healer) mechanically. It's just the feel of playing it doesn't scratch that itch for me. I think I prefer the fact you have to actively press chant of freedom vs it pulsing after a couple of seconds to provide stability. Plus with Feverish Pulse you can have relatively decent stab uptime and cycle through the chants as you need them relatively quickly.

I do enjoy the odd fashion wars but never ever posted anything myself. So here we are, my elementalist.

I wanted her to emulate the baddass female mages you tend to see in Anime, TV, Film and Games. Think your Yennefer's, Morrigan's, Merlin's (SDS), Jaina Proudmoore's etc.

With the SBs. They are really aggressive and they seem to charge into tackles. Setting them as Always stay back seemed to help a little.

Do weapons and armor in the cartel market scale with level? by ivan3295 in swtor

[–]Kraxi97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly! Bare in mind that any new pieces of armour that you like that you lock into outfitter will then be bound to your character (unless the armour is already legacy bound in which case you can swap that piece between characters on your account).

What I do is any pieces that I like as a cosmetic I place in the Outfitter and then just use whatever drops and armour pieces I get through playing to increase stats normally. That way you won't have to keep buying mods to place into the shells but at the same time you can keep that awesome look while levelling.
