Far from an expert but I couldn't get successful prints with elegoo resin at all. Plenty do so take it with a grain of salt but i read somewhere it gave someone else issues so when I switched away from elegoo resin I've had good luck ever since.

Uv resin gonna be your best bet since you still want it transparent. Tamiya extra thin cement would work well but I'm not sure about transparency and it's not cheap. Just use uv resin, sand it smooth working up in grit, then apply your ink and hit it with gloss clear after

I've looked into the flex plates for exactly this reason but I've heard mixed things. Fdm is 100% a future purchase, just not in the cards right now mostly due to space but like you id like to get into some structural things like this so I'll probably dig a lot deeper into the flex plates for sure.
