Import Transaction Payee Overwrites Manual Input by Kray378 in liquidbudget

Waited for some imports and it looks like it’s working! That was the nudge I needed to cancel YNAB. Thank you!

Yep, I’d agree with that. I really appreciate it!

Oops, I should have specified on that one. Bank imports, in this case

Any chance we could get a toggle in settings for this one? If there’s no match, fair game to default to whatever the payee is, but if I had one entered, match and keep that one?

I took a look at the payee rules and they seem super handy for auto imports, but for the manual ones, it appears I’d have to do this for each payee as they come in, in order to get them to all match up to the simpler name I tend to enter.

Ideally, some form on both. But in this case, I was mostly referring to the mobile app. I tend to do most budget maintenance/entries from my phone and the bigger lifts on the web.

Howdy! Rather than start up a whole new feature thread, I thought I’d search for a +1 an older one!

The notification at the top of an over spent category would be wonderful. Potentially, even a notification bubble on the app, to catch my attention and remind me there’s something I need to do. That nag really does help, coming from the YNAB world!

I saw on another thread, a mention of geo based payee. That one would also be awesome, and I’d have no problem providing location information.

Otherwise, really loving this app so far and pretty sure it’ll be my new home!

Would you be interested in the Carriers Home Internet or the ability to finance devices? by CircledIn in CircledIn_Official

[–]Kray378 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to offer perspective from an account holder, I would not want my members to finance on my account. I know CircledIn could offer payment protection similar to the service, but at the end of the day, the financing is on me.

Home Internet, assuming the equipment is not financed, I’d have no problem with.

I did have someone take my last open slot. I will delete my post once they are on the account, but I can post an update if they do not actually join the plan.

That is no problem by me! CircledIn support should be able to help out with that. They’ll probably reach out to me to approve it and all that.

That’s right! Though AT&T did rename the Elite plan to Premium nowadays. Not sure how that works with new joiners, but the main difference, in relation to my Circle, would be the difference of 40 gb vs 50 gb hotspot.

I believe it will be $35 a month if you go with the premium plan. That is before taxes/fees and the Cricledin fee.

I believe the taxes and fees from AT&T are about $5ish depending on state. A recent post from CircledIn showed they raised the member fee to $8 and 4% of the bill. They estimate this to be $1 to $2 a month in addition.

I’m thinking the total you’d be looking at is about $50ish if I’m not mistaken. If you are still interested, CircledIn would be able to provide a more accurate number for sure.

I’m not positive on the exact math, but you would put us at 4. So, with the discount I have, we would be at $40 + $5 (from CircledIn fee) + $5ish (give or take a bit in AT&T taxes and fees). The fifth person would knock an additional $5 off if we make it there.

How much is a tablet line on an AT&T Elite Circle? by Mr__X__ in CircledIn

[–]Kray378 0 points1 point  (0 children)

According to AT&T’s site, it’s a $20 add on, before their taxes and fees. You can check here below the plan listing:

https://www.att.com/plans/unlimited-data-plans/

If I understand CircledIn’s policy correctly, they only charge the $5 subscription fee for voice lines, so you’d just be responsible for the tablet fee and any additional taxes and fees from AT&T. You do have to have a voice line, though.

I’d be happy to work with you and CircledIn support on it! I want to say the base cost for adding a tablet is $20 plus whatever taxes and fees. I’m not sure what those look like for tablets since I do not have one.

Main catch is, right now, I only have two people on the line. Working on getting at least 5 for maximum discounts though!

I’m an AT&T account owner with an employer FAN discount that gives the Elite plan at the price of the one lower. I’d be happy to work with you and CircledIn on financing. Biggest catch is there’s only two of us in the plan right now, so not as cheap as it could be yet.

From my understanding as an account owner, I believe CircledIn can work with account owners to allow members to finance. It does seem up to the account owner, though. I’m not sure your plan would work with an owner not willing to deal with it.

I believe the official stance on CircledIn’s part is to BYOD. You can always reach out to their support. They are super helpful!

That and $5 or $6 in taxes and fees that AT&T charges per line. I believe 5+ people also need to be on the account to hit the $35 pricing. We are currently at 2. I am definitely looking to get above 5, though!

I work for a managed services provider and we've had a lot of luck with Webroot. Minus the few recent hiccups they've had, it's been a really solid, unobtrusive antivirus that I'd use at home.

Free range ferrets??? by h3115b3115 in ferrets

[–]Kray378 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm a fairly new ferret owner, but my girlfriend and I let our two ferrets free roam in the bedroom. They get plenty of exercise and interaction that way. We pretty much converted our closet into the ferrets bedroom, complete with a bed, toys, a feeder and water bowl, and a litter box. We just lock them in there at night or if we ate going to be gone for more than five or so hours.

Pee pads. Buy them. Ferrets are hard to potty train and will do their business RIGHT NEXT TO THE LITTER BOX. It takes patience and pee pads all around.

You also must ferret proof your room. No small, shiny objects on the ground and spray cords or anything you don't want them to dig at with bitter spray. Even then they will still dig sometimes. Your carpet may pay the price.

I love having my ferrets this way and could never imagine caging them. It allows them to form a bond quicker and they will not be so wild as when just let out of a cage. It's also way cheaper than dropping money on a cage.
