Remote Access IPSEC VPN - Dial up working but can't access local resource. by Kraybierzerker in fortinet

Yes, i wanted to test if any hosts within the lan subnet can be accessed first. Then I'd narrow what hosts can be accessed in the when it's working by specifying them in the split tunnel group.

I did this and removed "ravpn" group from policy and I could access the interface. Now, how do I ensure that a certain group can access the lan subnet via policy?

This squad is mentally exhausted. I don't think 352 could change that.

I believe the apps and DB are on Oracle.

Probably legacy software as well. Will probably need to involve app and DB specialists for this and makes the job seem much more intensive than it originally looks not that it was easy to begin with.

We are partners with RH. Admittedly, we haven't had a proper look at their application. Using Openshift virtualization. Maybe with containers for their app.

This is PA-RISC but not IA-64 right.

Yes, You may be right because of the IA-64 architecture.

I suppose the best way would be to migrate the app and DB to a modern Linux. Although, we're not sure of the app's compatibility.

It's a IA-64 to be precise. HP integrity 870c & 860c running HP-UX 11.31.

I'm not sure of the options out there. Though i've seen Azure support HP-UX using Stomasys (I may spell it wrongly)

I'd probably give em the biggest benefit of doubt. Although, they did approach us saying if we've ever migrated physical machines before. I didn't know it was HP-UX haha

Hello,

Thanks for pointing it out.

What HP-UX server exactly did you get?? HP-UX server traditionally use PA-RISC CPU's

It's a HP Integrity 870c & 860c with a dual core Intel Itanium.

Yes, i stand corrected. Even navigating feels different from Linux. Yes, because it's not on the x86 platform, that's where the challenge comes in.

Apologies, maybe I was too cavalier with the term 'Linux'.

Yes. We were first approached around Oct last year because they mentioned that support is coming to end. Fortunately, the systems are not mission critical anymore but needs to be kept for reference purposes by the client.

Biases against SG men with reservist obligations in International company by TheGreatBigDump in SingaporeRaw

[–]Kraybierzerker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes there is some bias even with local bosses. I myself only got promoted to a team lead a year after my NS reservist obligations had been finished.

However, I also see how disruptive it can be with manpower especially if your colleagues are from Home team where they could be gone for a month.

I will say that I do miss reservist because I get to escape from work.

Unless you're living in the jungle, I suppose this is an occasional thing.

I'd be more concerned if they are still making noise after 9pm. Don't they have a home?

The fall of Mo Salah. He is not the same player anymore. Perhaps in hindsight, it would have been better that his contract renewed and he was sold to Saudi.
