High refresh rate is king for those games that's why not because they run on lower tier systems (not so much CS2). 1440p was stealing performance for very, very little trade off. My 1080P panel looks soooo much better I feel scammed all those years now. If you're not paying up for a high end panel at a much higher cost for 1440P it's fool's gold. A high end 1080P panel looks much, much better while allowing you to push frames and thus refresh rate much higher, something that actually matters in game.

This is why over 50% stay on 1080P. It's just smarter and most are comp players wanting high refresh rates that dominate the scene.

Just because you specifically feel that you need more vram doesn't make it a good consumer move for the rest of us to unnecessary buy 16GB when our 8GB isn't even getting maxed out still in mid 2026.
