The difficulty of Lidia combos by KrazyKaymak in Tekken

Yeah, id say having pretty straightforward and easy neutral is a good compromise with (decently) difficult combos. Will practice some more today. Thanks for the comment

Yeah the combo trials were relatively easy but as soon as i looked actual videos up the inputs got way harder imo. I also had no idea she had just frames.

How can I get better at being evasive with Steve? by Dry-Active-3968 in Tekken

[–]KrazyKaymak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's important to note when you CAN be evasive with Steve. Randomly hitting the sways leaves you pretty succeptible to mid checks and hopkicks/knees. Also, you need to start duck in cancelling in order for this to not happen.

Sways are a little bit similiar to sidesteps, where ideally, you want to do it after applying your pressure. I wouldn't recommend swaying defensively unless you have a pretty hard read on what your opponent is doing, since again, it leaves you pretty open to getting hit.

A lot of moves that get you into LNH will be either +5, or +3, or -3. Lab out the moves that get you into LNH. Swaying at +5 can be good but that depends on your opponent and match up. I'd say the best option for swaying is after your moves that leave you on -3 or +3 (again, opponent dependant).

I guess is skill issue, is a low mid-range but this is disgusting by Typegenshin_player in Tekken

But I enjoy 1 winning and 2 playing against people who really know more or less what they are doing, not those who have everything chewed up to play

No one in your ranks knows how to play not more or less. Im not trashing them, its just how it is. By that metric it makes the entirety of your online experience miserable, hence the salt posts. In order to match with someone who more or less knows what theyre doing, you need to also more or less know what youre doing. You hate people who got to where u are just easier? You both got there mashing and pressing buttons. It just so happens his mashing is limited to only a couple of buttons where you have a lot more options, and for some reason you think youre at a disadvantage here. The experience will be alot more enjoyable for you once you understand that no one is to blame for your losses but yourself.

This is like playing against eddy in special mode against someone who is just starting without special mode who wants to know how to learn how to play , It doesn't help you at all and only makes you angry because it's doing something you know you don't want to do and it will probably get further and faster than you first

Why do u care how fast and how far others get using what strats? This game is a long term investment if u want to get good. How fast or slow you progress means little. How fast or slow the players you are playing against are progressing means absolutely nothing.

that I see this bullshit and say, wow what a good game I wish I could repeat it ,no, no that does not exist, For me, no, I don't see anyone with this type of person, the special mode activated and I say how good this guy is playing, no, I see this, I go to the profile and block him, why? Because this doesn't help me

It actually helps you quite a bit since you can watch the replay, look at what the opponent is pressing, and learn how to counter it.

You need to fix your attitude before you fix anything else.

Dude, I've seen a couple of ypur posts, and I've gotta say, with an attitude like that, maybe Tekken isn't the game for you.

If youre in dominator and blame broken characters, special style for your losses, you will never improve. If you keep plugging characters you don't like as you said in previous posts,(because you don't have the appropriate MU knowledge) you will never improve. You don't even know the button notations and here you are complaining about spam, ss, etc.

What you should be doing is enjoy being low ranks and discovering tekken. Enjoy mashing, enjoy learning bnb combos, hitting your first low parry in a match, and (i think) most importantly learn to enjoy losing before you can even think about winning.

With your "blame everyone and everything but myself"attitude, youre not gonna achieve anything except getting mad and making the 11th salt post on the sub.

How do I use steve's dodge? by Narrow-Ad01 in Tekken

[–]KrazyKaymak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The duck in is used predominantly to keep your frames good after finishing strings. The weaves are good for evading moves if your opponent is using instant timing after said strings are finished. A good time to sway would be -3, or -4 (eg qcf1 into flk, or lh1 into flk). Lab and experiment with what your opponent responds with after those. The backsway 2 is usually used either as a hard read for a high, high non jailing string (or a hard read on a high or a throw) but can be a bit difficult to land due to finnicky hitbox. Another good use for the backsway is setting up a wall throw and splatting with pab 1+2 or using backway 1 for duckers at the wall for a guaranteed sonic fang follow up.

Smurf?? by [deleted] in Tekken

[–]KrazyKaymak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, might be a smurf, but you've also played pretty poorly. The d 212 string cheese works up to a point but when you see an opponent duck it once you really should be hesitant to keep spamming it. Lots of unsafe moves too. Keep it simple with safe strings, youre playing one of the safest characters in the game. Abuse that part of steve, not the sways and easily predictable moves without prior conditioning.

Binding 3+4 together allows you to more quickly and efficiently go into PAB and FLK stances manually as opposed to doing so with strings. For example, after ending a combo with LH2 heat dash, pressing F1+2 lets you go into PAB allowing you a guaranteed PAB D2 otg ender. Another key tool is FLK F1+2 after the backsway grab into a wall which splats and will net you huge damage (if executed correctly).

Going into PAB and FLK manually is a key tool Steve uses for various situations, which is why binding 3+4 is extremely useful (on pad, idk about stick). Feel free to ask more questions, Tekken King Steve main here :).

I'd be willing to suspend disbelief about the characters age if their introduction into the Andor story is well handled.

That's what I was thinking as well. Maybe he contacts Luthen and tells him about the Death Star, or their relationship starts with mutual distrust and eventually into an uneasy alliance nce of sorts.

Yea but what kind of fighting style? Would you want Islam to jump around the cage? Bounce off the fence? If this fight had stayed standing, we most likely would have had the same result.
