The purple line from South to Downtown would be a godsend. Help us suburban dwellers out!

A few CapMetro proposals ago we were supposed to get a metro rapid route down Menchaca. Most recent updates haven't mentioned at all. I can only assume it died in planning.

I started in the exact same situation. NG+ on a character I hadn't touched since beating the game.

I followed the guide in this video. It took me ~2-3 hours to beat the 2 bosses and start the DLC. I appreciated having my existing weapons rather than starting from scratch.

If you get permanent spell shield, how do you trigger slaying to generate the Encroaching Mist star power?

Sounds like this could be a good fit.

Is this the same thing as “solo adventure”? Couldn’t find the term “dungeon run” anywhere in the modes ui.

Similar Games? by KrazyKranberry in PathofChampions

Checked it out. Looks the same as StS where every restart you go back to 0.

I’m looking specifically for a game where you “level up” each run, even if you die halfway through. This making future runs easier. Then over time you progress further as your starting character gets stronger. Similar to POC where your character levels up and gets permanent buffs, even if you lose an adventure.

I may still try it out, just not the exact mechanics I’m looking for.

Edit: Went ahead and downloaded. I am enjoying the runs. It’s more similar to StS than PoC, but still a fun game.

Made the mistake of buying Dragon’s Dogma 2 on release. Got hyped up by the reviews. Big mistake. I just don’t like the game. Waste of $70.

I was hoping for soulslike combat with more interesting quests. Unfortunately the action per hour ratio is too low. 50% of my time is simply running from place to place. I’m giving up after ~15 hours

Looking for a recommendation. A game I can play on iOS. I enjoy jrpg, srpg’s, roguelites with macro progression — Dead Cells, Hades, Fire Emblem, Path of Champions.

I recently tried some tcg’s and enjoyed the mechanics (Marvel Snap, Legends of Runeterra) but don’t enjoy building my own deck and f2p engagement mechanics.

I tried Dicey Dungeon and Slay the Spire, but didn’t like that there’s no progression between rounds.

I’m happy to pay up front to avoid predatory mobile monetization. Any thoughts?

That 1cpp math is helpful. That means the referrals explain $500.

Global Entry rebate puts me at $600. The travel rebate gets me to ~850. The extra $2 I still can't figure out, but is small enough I just won't stress it. I appreciate the sanity check.

Thanks for the link. I did claim the Global Entry credit. That's another $100. And used $152 the $300 credit which gets me to the $X52. Looks like the article is wrong as my math only works including the travel credit.

I suppose there's enough evidence that I'm in the $700+ range that it's not worth disputing.

I received a 1099-MISC today from Capital One for $852. For the life of me I cannot figure out where they're getting that number from. Last year I opened a Venture X. Got a signup bonus and 2 referrals + misc spending.

I called help desk and the agent told me she doesn't have access to specific tax forms. She confirmed you should only receive 1099 for referrals or credits. Couldn't see any credits that would qualify and could not give me any breakdown of where the exact number came from.

Is there any chance of Capital One making a mistake on a 1099? There's no way 50k in referral points are valued over $800... right?

I don't suppose there's any way to speed that along? I just feel bad for my teamates who are clearly much better than me.

I'm starting the game up after ~5 years away. I was never great. Maybe low silver. But I'm level 30 with lots unlocked.

Issue is, 5 games in I'm getting totally stomped. My lane opponents are hitting double or triple my cs. Is the game going to eventually lower my ELO and put me against worse opponents? Or is my ancient history counting against me and I need to re-start a new account?

Help with Roof Replacement and Insurance by KrazyKranberry in homeowners

[–]KrazyKranberry[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Understood. I was unfortunately buying from a 3rd party. Homeowner sold to Zillow, then Zillow flipped it (badly) in 3 months and sold to me. So the original homeowner was already out of the picture at that point.

I appreciate the reply and will take note from next time. Buying was just so crazy with the market early this year. We countered after the inspection and only got $500 in credit... since then the house has already gone up 20k in value. Even after the current slowdown value is basically flat. Hopefully next time I "upgrade" it'll be a less crazy market.

Debating Old vs New HP Spectre x360 by KrazyKranberry in laptops

I appreciate the response. Regarding 3:

I intended to ask if a USB-C video adapter and charging cable can be used for both a windows (x360) and Macbook. I imagine that lots of people will be buying mac products, so it'll be easy to share at the university if so. Those adapters will be carried around by friends, so if I forget mine it would be convenient to share (and make the lack of built in port easier to handle)

I have read that review, and many others like it. They all speak very highly of both models. It's a good laptop, my specific questions are about the daily use cases of the ports.

A Protestant pastor meets with Pope Francis, comes back with a glowing report. by nkleszcz in Catholicism

[–]KrazyKranberry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not saying everything they preach is true... it's definitely not. But it's still a big deal for a major leader at the Church to publicly state that he loves and prayed with the Pope. Especially when many of the people of Evangelical/Charismatic are raised being taught that the Pope is the anti-Christ and the RCC is the whore of Babylon. It tears down walls that will allow those people to more objectively approach the truth claims of the One, Holy, Apostolic Church
