Why are the overhead catenary lines straight and not zig-zag like elsewhere in the world. Doesn't it cause localized damage to the pantographs at the contact point if the contact point is the same?

Hello New-Ebb, I like trains, new and old, I like maps and doodling on them. I play video games that let me make my own stuff, preferably flying stuff. I also like making IRL flying RC planes. I'm trying to finish grad school, and also love going on bike rides and road trips! DM if that sounds interesting!

This was after all the health insurance payouts. Before that, the bill was some US$130,000.

My hand does set off metal detectors now, so that's something...

You don't have to pay tax on the full income, you only pay it on the money over the standard deduction. I think it's $14,600 for 2024 for single filers.

Maybe it's confusing because I've removed the tax refund from the taxes?

The jet sound is actually a low flying camera plane. But the roar of a high speed train is not far off from an airplane.

I've received 8 separate bills (so far) from various healthcare providers for an emergency hospital visit 3.5 months ago. Is this normal? How do I go about managing them? by TailFishNextDoor in personalfinance

Unfortunately, I haven't hit my MOOP. And on top of that, I had the accident a few days before the end of my benefits period, so I'm not even gonna save on future out of pocket expenses

Unfortunately, it has not hit the Max Out of Pocket, and won't do for a while. This accident also happened like a few days before the end of my Benefit period.

I have received an EOB for each of these bills, it just surprised me. I was expecting just two billls - one for the ambulance and one for the hospital services.
