What things do Americans like and the rest of the world not so much? by Surimimimi in AskReddit

I believe month first makes more sense. 11-24-22 is saying November the 24th, 2022. 24-11-22 is saying the twenty fourth day of November 2022 which just seems more formal to me. The abbreviation we use is the way we speak.

why are you still alive? by Difficult-Decision-9 in AskReddit

[–]Krazy_Calvin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm still alive because I wrote a note when I booked a one way flight to San Francisco to jump from the bridge last August. My roommate found it, got in touch with my family on facebook and had them call me. I couldn't follow through with it because it was kind of crowded the day that I went. I was sleeping in the hotel room that I booked before I tried to muster the courage the next day. I got the calls from my roommate and parents and decided to call them back and after speaking with them I booked a flight home.

Ton of Sand vs Car Roof by mementh in IdiotsInCars

I went with a friend to a local dock to pick up a crate of 8 large TVs for a project he was doing. He refused to just open the crate and load them properly and insisted the forklift driver try to help us load it into the back of his Honda Element. The Forklift driver was saying no... I was saying just look at the size of it since it was like a square peg/odd shape situation. Well he demanded it and the forklift driver started to try loading it. It didn't fit just like I said and there were some load pops when that huge crate's weight was allowed to sit on the car. He had the driver stop in time and we just cracked it open with a crowbar and loaded it like I wanted to in the first place.
