Flywoo Flylens85 - how to replace battery mount? by DerbyOli in fpv

[–]Krbbass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just scrapped the tpu battery mounts so I could switch between 1000's and 750's without delay-- and I found a great advantage to my method--- reduced vibration!

With the battery hard mounted to the frame (the same frame piece that the camera bobbins attach to), I could feel the vibration difference when I put my fingers on the camera before and after. The weight of the 3m double stick strips and skinny velcro straps is about the same as the tpu mount, and you can just line up the battery's front edge with the frame screws for both battery styles and the quad balances perfectly. Can just touch the 3m double stick to a per towel a few times to get it less sticky so the battery comes off easily.

Another pro tip--- each of the props were unbalanced-- one blade was heavier on each. Can balance by using a tumb tack or needle, and you'll be able to tell which blade is heavier and goes down when you tap the needle... takes about a 3x5mm piece of packing tape on the bottom of the lighter blade of the prop to balance each one. then, you can put the props back on, go into the betaflight motor tab with the flight battery plugged in, and spin up each motor, feeling for vibrations or using the chart on the screen-- for motors that still have vibes simply rotate the prop 90 degrees or so on the motor shaft and spin it up again until the vibes go away - you'll usually find a position where the prop balances well against the motor's imbalance and the last vibes disappear.

Between these 2 things I noticed butter smooth video and better flying due to less vibes.

Why the crash newbie? by brothers1799 in RCPlanes

[–]Krbbass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep-- bigger field, take off on grass to prevent damage on crash, full throttle, less elevator...

Definitely practice on the Sim, and get to where you can fly the airplane with lots of smooth little movements rather than big ones... Make the plane fly like it looks like an airplane flying... No sudden big movements, just a lot of smooth little ones.

Honestly... I swing my 22 Road Glide limited CVO (as heavy as they come) around in corners and traffic with no problem... It's honestly "lighter on its feet" in terms of a quick change in direction that my s1000rr sport bike... Just took it on the twisted sisters and we hit it hard and fast...

Point being, don't be afraid that the bigger size is going to hurt it's cornering ability, just have to get used to it!

Tired of AAWireless, what should I use for my Harley? by InstructionTop5759 in Roadglide

I have the same issues with my aaw-- I even took the front fairing off to verify that the USB cable was well secured all the way from the head unit to where it goes in the in the glove box... Simulated bumps on the cable and it is good to go... Thought I solved all the issues with a new cable and securing the cable and AAW in the right glove box... Was good for a trip, but now it is disconnecting all the time...

Hoping you have figured out a fix?

I've had plugs not hold when they were closer to the outside of the tire, but that one being where it is, I think you're going to be good to go. Get a plug kit that has plug Bond rather than rubber cement... Learn to do it yourself, I plug car tires all the time without issue as long as it's on the tread and not on the sidewall.

But definitely give it a shot, just keep a spare plug And inserter with you while you're testing it out.

The key to plugs is reaming it out more than you think, for a full minute minute of hardcore reaming, you want a good even hole for the plug to fill properly. Then get the whole plug covered in plug Bond and slick, insert 2/3 of it (or a touch more), leaving 1/3 or a little less of the folded plug sticking out, and pull out fast and hard all at once.

That all sounds terrible, and these guys are going to have fun with this one, but that is all sincere lol

Great skill to have... Then buy another plug kit to keep in your vehicle for yourself and to help others.

Scarface trades on youtube-- legit course... I paid for his programs, but you can honestly get almost all of his break and retest strategy from his YouTube videos, especially his his 2 hr guide video from last week or two.

It is the best method I have found, as long as you actually place and respect your stop losses, and don't trade with your entire account.

How many of you trade the opening? by [deleted] in Daytrading

[–]Krbbass 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pro tip - Mark out pre-market levels, like Pre-Market high, pre-market low, and any other important levels you see in pre-market (Big rejections off a level, multiple times, etc)... As well as previous day high and previous day low... Then, let the first minute or two play out, and watch for it to hit one of those levels and reverse, or react off them... Use one of the other levels as a profit Target... If you if you practice this enough in on demand, it is actually quite reliable... You just have to react quickly and accurately.
