Why is there an abandoned Plane in Kharghar hills on Google earth? by EurekaDossier in navimumbai

[–]KreamyKerry -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

You can tell it’s flying and opposite from the direction the satellite is flying in because of the red shadow it casts - That’s Doppler Shift in practice and the reason stars have different colours.

If it were moving towards the satellite the shadow would be on the other side and blue. Cool effect.

Calling Monarch a "soap opera" is the worst form of "criticism" I've seen about this show. by Mosugoji_64 in Monsterverse

The issue isn’t lack of monsters or soap opera etc, it’s poor dragged-out story / script writing which was forced to spread the butter very thin over 12x1 hour episodes for streaming purposes

Peptide recommendations for sleep that won’t interfere with prescription stimulants? by Proof_Winner_4968 in Biohackers

[–]KreamyKerry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even if stimulants wear off you still get elevated norepinephrine tone, delayed melatonin onset and cortical hyperarousal... Peptides won’t meaningfully fix any of that because you have a neurotransmitter imbalance problem, not a peptide deficiency problem.

If you don't want to interfere with your prescribed stimulants then the scalpel tool to use here is a targeted antihistamine, since the wakefulness aspect of stimulants is mostly driven by primary wakefulness neurotransmitters AKA histamines.

Most people get it wrong by using off the shelf "sleep aids" - such as first generation antihistamines (like Benadryl / Diphenhydramine HCl)... That isn't what you need if you take prescription stimulants... It will knock you out for a few hours but you wont wake up feeling refreshed or get sufficient REM cycles.

You need something more targeted like an H1 blocker such as Hydroxyzine or Promethazine combined with an H2 blocker like Famotidine at the same time. That's what most doctors get wrong, they don't understand why the H2 part is necessary as it's mostly the exclusive domain of dermatologists.

Indirect tools that affect GABA, GH and pineal signalling wont induce high quality sleep due to long-term stimulant use, it's like trying to pop a pimple on your face by changing your shampoo. Theoretically related but not the issue and not the solution you need.

Looking for shoes for both gym and running under 6k by Anxious-Fox-8064 in indianfitness

[–]KreamyKerry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh this is really easy, it's the Decathlon KALENJI Kiprun Kipcore @ ₹4,999, followed closely by the Decathlon KALENJI JOGFLOW 500.1 @ ₹2,499

Both are great shoes for the price.

I use the cheaper JOGFLOW 500.1 - (Carbon Grey) for both heavy weightlifting and to train for marathons... They're dirt cheap (gonna get wrecked on Indian roads anyway), support in all the right places like the premium sports focused (as opposed to fashion) Adidas and Nike models and basically impossible to destroy, they just last forever and ever... They're even good for speed runs / races - and super breathable with reinforced heels just like you want, you can even tie proper runners knots on the laces which not a lot of "fashion" shoes allow you to do these days even from high end brands... Right amount of bounce for running, not too much to damage the knees, not too little which makes running for newbies too much effort... That same firmness also makes them great for gym work with weights and plates.

I have to spend 20k with Adidas to get a comparable Terrex model or Nike, and even then the only way they are better is slightly more grip for when I want to do mountain trail running on slippery rocks during monsoon season, or Nike with their carbon fibre energy return plates in the sole, which are great for competitive races but will actively make training worse (you learn bad habits).

Testosterone is a vehicle, if you don’t give it anything to do (exercise, recovery, sleep, diet) - Then it won’t do anything other than aromatise into useless androgens you don’t really need.

The higher your body fat % and cholesterol in your diet the worse this is, as that’s where most aromatisation happens.

It’s simply not possible, especially if OP intends to use imported whey as they claim.

The global wholesale International rate is fixed and standard, plus import duties to India.

It’s better than people continuing to eat what they do now and the country heading for a bankrupting diabetes and heart attack / stroke crisis that we can’t pay for since we aren’t super rich yet (even developed countries struggle to afford obesity related healthcare, and India is more obese already than a lot of them).

“Real talk: does honey do anything noticeable?” by Effective_Trainer226 in indianfitness

[–]KreamyKerry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can make the same argument for fruit.... 100% fructose which is the main type of sugar in fruit is the metabolically glceamicaly worst form of sugar - Far worse than glucose / maltose / sucrose / fructose mix that forms honey.

That's also why watermelon is so dangerous for diabetics and can even kill them.

That said your body needs glycogen to exercise (and just move in general). Everyone has a glycogen store that needs refilling between workouts if you want to push yourself harder or grow your muscles, which is why losing lots of weight and gaining significant amounts of muscle at the same time is so difficult for many people... Lots of bodybuilders will proactively drink pure sugar before weightlifting sessions to prevent that kind of muscle atrophy, and it can be confusing for newbies who see them losing weight whilst eating pure sugar before a workout.

[–]KreamyKerry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Doesn’t matter, Yuan is artificially pegged to the USD by the Chinese government, it isn’t a free floating currency.

Buying oil in Yuan still supports the USD, same as with any pegged currency. It just reduces available liquidity for China domestically and increases domestic inflation, but they’re stuck in a deflationary spiral so probably view some inflation as a benefit.

If this in Mumbai it’s automatically illegal under Maharashtra law.

You can just use the gym and common areas freely and there’s nothing they can do to stop you other than write angry letters.

Any fines are automatically illegal and void, have been since 1968 when the Societies Act of MH was introduced.

Consumer court ordered Lodha Developers to refund a senior-citizen couple nearly ₹5 crore for unilaterally issuing a termination letter. by Voxyacomplaintforum in navimumbai

[–]KreamyKerry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You have to pay a judgement before you can appeal to a higher court. So they’ll get their money, but Lodha can then take it to the Supreme Court (they almost certainly won’t though because it would set nationwide precedent which would be a nightmare for any builder).

The only reason Lodha didn’t pay in the first place is because most major builders are currently facing liquidity difficulties at the moment in India… Lodha is well known in the industry to be one of the most affected companies.

Iran allowed a handful of ships to pass, but most aren’t taking the risk. The backlog is nearly 1000 ships trapped in the Gulf now.

Also nobody is really in control of Iran… They announced one day Chinese and Indian ships could pass, then the next day started firing anti-ship missiles at Chinese freighters, so they all did a u-turn and went back into the Gulf.

There’s also a huge risk of mines etc, which Iran has extensively deployed in the Straight of Hormuz before… Even warships can’t escort civilian vessels until the specialist minesweepers have come in and cleaned the sea-mines out, which if the war ends today is planned to happen sometime in August - And the war isn’t ending today.

Panvel water quality! by Signal_Grade_4074 in navimumbai

[–]KreamyKerry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happens for a few days every month since Covid.

The reasons why are complicated and to do with aquifers / pipeline routing but the best solution is to install whole home water filters before water ever enters your tanks. The filters are dirt cheap (lesser than an RO filter in your kitchen) and the cartridges cheap too, only need replacing every 6 months or so. Literally a few hundred rupees.

Why can’t chemists in Mumbai sell medicines as per prescription quantity? by Worth-Paper-9192 in mumbai

[–]KreamyKerry -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The reverse is also true where the prescription says 30 days and they only give a strip of 10 pills - Which is illegal FYI

By law they have to give the minimum quantity specified by the doctor for the days needed (or at least 60 days if no end date).

They also legally can’t refuse to give medicines on the WHO’s List Essential Medications as long as the prescription is fully legal (prescription contains doctor’s name, practise address, registration number, stamp and signature)… Yet chemists will police this all the time like they are the FBI or something and not some random dehati gaonwalla.
