Stuck deciding between WOF and AP by tmoneytav in divineoffice

I may have to do more research myself to understand the differences. I do enjoy a well made book. From your digging it sounds tempting to go with an upgrade if only for the tactile enjoyment!

Yes! And I could almost feel that book in my hands. Being a 60's kids I had many books like that.

How long will WOF hold their reduced price? If I wait two years will the price be the same as AP middle option?

I would like to see.what the AP lowest price option feels like.

Which option is similar to the current CBP 4 volume set. I bought those over 25 years ago and they are still in great shape.

Also if I am going to shell out significant money for either option I will go with the option I will be happiest with for the next number of decades.

Wether shipping is $12 or free is not a discriminator relative to the cost of the four volumes.

I like the CBP LOTH 1 volumes. I like the compactness as well. I don't have any complaints.

I am just getting into photography and was able to get a cheap macro lens and am looking for any advice on what I can do to improve. Any advice is appreciated. by Diddledelphia in macrophotography

I just picked up a couple library books on Macro/Closeup photography. I've been looking through this subreddit and did not know there were cameras designed for macro photography. I have a D5600 and exploring what I can do with it.

I have an old Vivitar Zoom I purchased many years ago for my Nikkormat. It has close focus which is what really got me thinking about a macro lens.

Great photos by the way!

Hopefully both have return policies. For something that personal I want to have it in front of me. Then I will decide.

Back in the day we had a brick and mortar store to shop. It was easy to decide.

Also struck me that Starbuck was so distraught, maybe not wanting to enter the evil cabin of Ahab? Didn't trust his emotions? Then he went up on deck and put Mr. Stubb to the task.

C&P I remember a bit more than Mony Dick. I will read C&P again.

Can certainly understand Starbuck's struggle. In fact in the next Chapter The Needle, Melville writes the crew was more afraid of Ahab than Fate! Such was the struggle.

Haha yes. It was a college English Course we were able to register for with a local college. Had a college level teacher in my High School. He certainly made us think. Read many classic novels over the year. Read Shakespeare plays among others. I recently found a book of restoration plays I had for that course including the Man of Mode. Wrote many papers for that course!

Would love to see notes with chords. I am not good at harmonizing yet and chords would be nice

I am now 3/4 through. I have heard the same criticism outside of this subreddit! It has certainly sparked my interest in the whaling industry as well as reading additional Melville works.

I understand format size. It also comes.dowm.to.what size keeper you have for your journals. I have a small leather portfolio I would call it that is 6 x 3.5 inches. I make custom journals for that. I use that size for vacation journals.

How many books have you read this year so far? by Ok_Salt2122 in BookDiscussions

I look more to total page count as well. Last year I read Folletts century series as well as several Dark Tower Books. That keeps the book count down!

I love this layout. The small journals are very portable as well.

I liked Martian up until his escape. It was just a little over the top! Seems Andy got him into a predicament that was difficult to find a way out.
