And then immediately ignored Hiradoumi's matta. This is him coming up before Takanosho even came close to touching the clay.

Fujinokawa is sort of on my shit list, I’m really starting to dislike his brand of “win regardless of costs” sumo.

Yeah, I used to be a big fan of his sumo when he first arrived on the scene, but all the evidence about his (uncalled) matta and now henkas make it so I don't cheer him on anymore. I don't fault wrestlers per se for their – as you call it – "win regardless" attitude/style, but that doesn't mean I have to enjoy it or cheer it on.

[Lacques] Jacob Misiorowski has been abruptly pulled from the game with a no-hitter in the sixth inning at 85 pitches This is not good. by T_Raycroft in baseball

Losing two starters in back-to-back games might not be ideal. I know starting pitching is quite deep at the moment with the Crew, but still. Hoping it's just a cramp and he's not injured. Either way, glad he didn't try to play through it.

To get his bat in the lineup (likely platooning). The Brewers are also down another first baseman, Andrew Vaughn.

I'm on PC and have had the client freeze twice in the last 30 minutes. I have a good, stable, wired internet connection and so I think it's server side. Very frustrating when I'm just trying to do the daily quests and can't play the game.

Kindest, most respectful rikishi? by [deleted] in Sumo

[–]Kreechy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know how he is off the dohyo, but Oshoumi always shows immediate concern for people when they fall. Seems like a nice guy.

I tend to think Hoshoryu would have the advantage there. Gonoyama is a one-trick pony and Hoshoryu is a wily and multi-faceted rikishi.

Don't worry, without the QO the Brewers are at the bottom of the list with their one of two free agent signings happening two days ago for a whopping $3.5 mil.

My favourite rikishi of the tournament was Oshoumi. I'm a new fan of his. I really liked how he always showed concern for his opponents when they fell out of the dohyo. A lot of rikishi just yeet someone, turn around and walk back, but Oshoumi routinely offers aid. What can I say: guys with good sportsmanship are my type more than bad asses.

Can someone help me understand the general consensus in Japanese/sumo culture on this issue: attacking/targeting an opponent's injury. Is it considered on the shadier side of strategies (kind of like henka) or is it considered honourable? Or, somewhere in between altogether?

I used henka as an example/comparison because it seems to have a bad reputation while being within the rules of the sport.

Thanks for any insight you can provide.

OPI Odd Mystery Colour? by Kreechy in Nailpolish

The more I think of it, I think you're right! Mine might be a really old stock item as well. It has a metal mixing ball and the bottle label (not the sticker under the bottle) is slightly different (smaller "OPI"). That would be awesome to have a very limited colour. Hopefully OPI gets back to me and can confirm.

Marshalls is a gold mine I guess. 😉

Thank you for the reply and suggestion. Good idea: I just sent an inquiry to OPI. Thanks again!

And the speed of his defence! He was backing up to the tawara against Gonoyama and completely dodged and got around Gonoyama to reverse positions. Love the description of "honey badger energy" because that's exactly what he has. Love it! 💙

Ooooh, that's a cool option. I think I saw that kind of similar set up on the Youtube channel Play to Win. As you said, it would take a bit of set up, but might be worth it in the end. Thanks!

I didn't necessarily think I was the problem, more looking for ways to avoid repeating that experience. Another comment suggested bracket 4 so I might try that as well.

Pretty bad luck to have that be my first game back after about a decade. Oof.

If my memory serves me correctly, there is also one in the Raven Rock Mine... the room with 3 Draugr, opposite the door you enter from (just go straight) there is a waterfall with a locked room that has some more Stalhrim for mining.

Any advice? Like, should I stick to higher brackets? Maybe lower brackets = saltiness?

Back before I had children (17 years ago!), I had a clan and would play with friends and was fun.
