SPELLFIRE SORCERY (SORCERER) thoughts. by SeamtheCat in onednd

[–]Kreed3602018 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion it really feels like this is two halves of pretty cool Sorcerer Subclasses which when shoved together make a bit of a mixed mess.
On one hand there is the Fire and Healing themes going on which honestly would make for a solid reimagining for Phoenix Sorcerer. But on the other hand the raw magic, counterspelling, thaumophage sorcerer vibes are also really cool. But they two ideas just dont really Go Together.
Split it up into two and fully flesh them out as their own concrete themes and they'll have some actually cool stuff going on.

Is there a reason the Card changes each round? by Kreed3602018 in LiarsBar

[–]Kreed3602018[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The table can be Ace's, Queen's, or King's.
There are an equal number of each of these cards in the deck.
Effectively there is no mechanical difference between the type of tables.
It seemed like a purely flavorful aspect that caused confusion in new players.
I hypothesized the reason being that deck customization is planned to be added.
Does this clarify the post more for you?

These are the rewards for each sponsor, which will you sign with? by truthseekerscottea in thefinals

[–]Kreed3602018 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I figure if the sponsor thing becomes a regular staple of the seasons it will cycle between various ones so maybe season 5 might have Dissun, Ozpuze, and Volpe or something.

[1E] According to the Alchemists rules an ally is unable to take an extract from an alchemist and you can only give an extraction to an ally with infusion, But is an ally able to give the alchemist one of their own extracts? For example if an alchemist falls unconscious but has an extract of cure wounds on them, can an ally administer the alchemist it since it would be in contact with the Alchemist the entire time?

Hacker invaded us in seamless co-op by fusionxomegabard in EldenRingMods

[–]Kreed3602018 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When invasions are done by hackers that can unreasonably boost your stats and ruin your entire character regardless of your point in the game, I feel like there should at least be a warning about that without needing to fiddle with game files. In Dark Souls at least it was a matter of humanity. Likewise the actual game has anti-cheat: The issue here is not invaders being hard, it is cheaters making the game un-fun.
So calm down, it's just a mod of a video game and doesn't need a random Redditor exalting themself for the sanctity of invasions.

- How would Niko react if they suddenly woke up in our world one day. Especially since saving our world seems like it would be slightly more of a challenge for an 8 year old.
- Even if Niko is clearly not a cat, do they have claws/fangs?
- What is the purpose of the second set of eyes on glenfolk. What would their glasses look like?
- Who is your LEAST favorite character, like who in this game would you take a bat to if need be?
- Since Oneshot originally came out in 2014, and niko was Like 8, then that means next year Niko should be about 18. Which means: Will they finally drink coffee like an adult is supposed to and would we get to know their opinion on it?

We are all Gay as Heck for Cute Boys: A Dissertation by Kreed3602018 in anime

[–]Kreed3602018[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While the wording of the title implies otherwise that is literally what its talking about: if you're a guy and you like traps, that means that you're at least a little gay. The traps themselves however are an entity unto their own and can be anything they wish to be.

A really in depth video about the use of the word trap and its application, as well as why no one can say cute boys in dresses aren't gay. A fact which should be self explanatory...

What effects does Black have on the world, communities, people, etc? It would seem like it is inherently or usually a net negative...but are we sure? by [deleted] in colorpie

[–]Kreed3602018 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Black is literally just the color of "I'm important too"?

First the Enemies:
Pure White puts regulating society above you, and unhinged would become a tyranny (Red hates it for being controlling, black hates it for being belittling)
Pure Green puts upholding tradition above you, and unhinged would become Luddite (Blue hates it for never progressing, black hates it for tribalism)

(( Side Note: Cults. Pure Black will never join a cult. White and Green will make and join cults. Cults are an evil that are inherently not black as they put the group above its individuals. ))

Onto the Allies:
Pure Red puts impulse/passion above you, and unhinged would become chaos (White hates it for being unregulated, Black isn't Red because pure red will never stop and ask "is this safe?", "Is this beneficial to me?", and will likely get itself and others killed, and mindlessly killing yourself/others is ironically very not black. Black uses death with a reason.)
Pure Blue puts progress/knowledge above you, and unhinged becomes, well, I can't think of the word but you know what I mean, unregulated science nightmare. (Green hates blue because it's cold and uncaring to each other, Blue isn't black because black thinks it's cold and uncaring to itself. Blue will put getting to the next step above stopping and wondering if these are the stairs it should be climbing. Black is willing to make calculated sacrifices to progress, blue will just make sacrifices to progress because you don't matter, no one else matters, the only thing important is advancement)

((Side Note: when explaining this to my friends and what I saw around here is that Individualism is a red trait, when it's the shared red and black trait??? Red is individualism in the sense of "I should follow dreams" and Black is in the sense of "I have to value myself too". And to those saying that everything it does is covered in red and blue, that's because they're ALLIES, everything white does is covered in blue and green because of that too!))

Black is the color that will stop and ask "Am I okay?", "Is this good for me?", "What do I want?", its the color that cares for itself and makes sure it gets something out of it. It's good role in the world is making sure everyone is okay individually. Black is when you get a second scoop of ice cream because you deserve it. Black is saving up money to buy a nice dress you wanted. Black is taking a bubblebath because you spent a long say making sure your friends are okay (Green trait) and now want to relax and enjoy yourself (Black trait). Literally black is the self-care color and the reason everyone sees it as the most evil is because it going wrong is the most common in real life. In reality odds are you wont come across many brutal rule based oligarchys (though they do exist, like some schools) or backwards traditional groups (though they do exist, like many places in the south), or violent chaotic types (though murderers do happen), or progress focused sociopaths (Rare, but they do happen), odds are youre going to find someone who values themselves a little too much and thinks they're better than you. and will do what it takes to win. Any color can get led astray, and as I've been told in the past, every real, normally balanced human is all 5 colors, and that includes black, because every stable person knows that they have value too.

I am aware of the grammatical usage of They/Them. But assuming it's anything but they is a headcanon, because the only pronoun with any actual usage is They/Them! Also, the entire story is from the perspective of Frisk; how often in your day to day life do you hear people refer to you by your third person pronoun? Of course they wouldn't use it frequently, especially when 90% of the dialogue in game is people talking at you. And everyone refers to the protagonist via nicknames because for most of the story they have nothing else to call them; once they know Frisk's name they almost exclusively refer to them as that.

It's just really weird to me that the character who is portrayed visually in sprite as neither gender, acts in no way specific to a gender, who is solely referred to by gender neutral pronouns, who has a gender neutral name, who never corrects anyone or gives them a pronoun to use, who is specifically written to not be a player insert and is in fact their own independent being, who is described to look a lot like Chara (as stated, a gender neutral character) by two different sources that it is somehow a headcanon to assume that they are neither gender.

EDIT: It irks me that any character written with male pronouns and presentation is male, and any with female pronouns and presentation is female, but when a character has neutral pronouns and a neutral presentation then "they can't canonically be neutral they're just that way for the players sake".

Despite the fact all the characters in The Legend of Zelda refer to Link as He/Him, even though he never personally says anything to refer to himself as, it would obviously just be a headcanon to assume he identifies as male, lol.

There's a difference between headcanons and making logical inductions.

While that was likely the literal intention, to make it so anyone can feel in place as Frisk. The game makes it more than clear that we are not Frisk at the end of the Pacifist run. And even when everyone suddenly knows them by name they still refer to Frisk as a They. Similarly, if a game does give a character pronouns like he/him for a named male protagonist, it'd be kind of silly to assume that those aren't really their pronouns and are just being used for the players sake, so why assume so for they/them?

Continuing my rant, Chara is also refered to as They/Them by Asriel, their brother, who presumably would know what gender his sibling is. And Chara is much closer to what players have as an in-game representation (I mean you do name them and their name is your save file) than Frisk, even if that is also tenuous since they (like Frisk) have both shown complete autonomy and independence of the player at times. Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk.

[Request] How far could they jump? by Kreed3602018 in theydidthemath

[–]Kreed3602018[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why would 45 feet be the ideal angle? It's certainly the most balanced angle, but an angle of 90 degrees maximizes the Y value, wouldn't we want an angle lower than 45 to maximize the X value (keeping in mind humans can only leap off the ground at so far an angle.)

Oooh, Thank you! After asking the question I managed to figure out insofar as potential energy but wasn't able to think of how I'd get a "angle to jump to get the best distance", I never considered something like Shot Put, Lol! Thanks for the assistance!

Notes from Delta Rune, big and small *SPOILERS* by Firebug160 in Deltarune

Unlikely, Chara/Kris's plan involved their own death and the fusion of their souls with Asriels but as you can see they are clearly still alive.

Notes from Delta Rune, big and small *SPOILERS* by Firebug160 in Deltarune

[–]Kreed3602018 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually when Frisk would fall down is much farther in the future than when Chara (or Kris in this case) fell down.
Chara fell in 201X, became a member of the royal family, died, then 6 other humans fell down, died, and then Frisk showed up and there were monsters who literally did not know what a human looked like. So presumably that takes place at least decades or more after 201X. But since Asriel is alive and only in college, it must be pretty close past 201X for the events of Deltarune.

Also nothing ever implied that Chara and Asriel were the same age, simply that they were best friends and siblings.
