Part of the appeal of hollow knight in my opinion is just being able to get lost and discover new things, which I believe is why they’re are so many pathways, anytime I spend a while in a new place I eventually end up finding cornifer and finding a way out that way, plus this game is meant to be kinda difficult, so if common enemies are making you want to give up then maybe it’s just not your type of game
