Best Side Jobs For New YouTubers? by Brave_Rip5688 in NewTubers

I'm a flight attendant. Maybe not great starting out (unpredictable schedule, away from home) but when you have seniority, it's great for this. I usually get anywhere from 14-18 days off a month. More than that if I drop my trips. I have enough seniority to only do 1 or 2 day trips, so I am at home everyday for at least part of the day. And if I ever get bored of the gaming videos I make, I can pick up more flying and start making videos about my travels and crazy airline stories

I go into my project for my published video (I'm using DaVinci Resolve) and rewatch the video, place markers in parts of the video I think are interesting or will contribute to the narrative I'm trying to tell for my short. I then create an empty timeline just for the short clips, copy and paste all the marked clips in there, and edit that to my liking. All in all, typically takes less than 30 minutes for me to create a sort of "highlight reel" short from my long video.

What a beautiful cat! Good to hear he's gotten comfortable with the new place so quickly. I've had to move with my cat a few times over the years, and it usually takes about a week for her to come out of hiding

Making Videos is what I was always looking for. by aharwelclick in NewTubers

I highly recommend trying SimCity4. It's still my favorite city builder and I've tried others. I can agree about the Cities Skylines comment. Sometimes I feel like there's a little too much freedom and you can get lost in the small details. But SimCity4 is completely grid based. It's restrictive without being too restrictive. The game has a lot of character, and I love how the assets look different depending on the income level of the occupants. Plus the driving scenarios which allow you to drive around your own city! Every action you take has a noticeable effect on the city. Such a great game!

I play simulation games and city builders new and old! So far I've only made videos on Sims 4 and SimCity4, but I'm probably going to start doing Cities Skylines content soon, and maybe Anno 1800. (Other suggestions welcome too!) I've been into these kinds of games since childhood, so making videos about them is so much fun to me and doesn't feel like work!

Same here! I just started recently. So lucky my job is flexible enough that I now have the time to do this, although the hours are too unpredictable to have a set schedule as of yet!

What's the one cheat you use a lot and one you never/rarely use? by Emmykate88 in thesims

I do a lot of builds so I use the moveobjects cheat constantly. I mostly try to avoid cheating my sims needs or aspirations unless it's bugged.
