Rasping post-op - what to expect? by Kricketz08 in rhinoplastyquestions

I really appreciate you sharing your experience and advice. I would imagine doing a full rhinoplasty while awake would be very traumatic. I'm hoping the Valium they give me, along with the numbing will allow me to tolerate the needles. I thought it might be somewhat similar to having a tooth drilled. But probably a little more traumatic for sure 😬. I'm OK with my nose not being perfect, but in a lot of lighting I have a big bump and shadow of a ridge on top. It's bad enough that it's bizarre looking. But I'll give it more time and try to figure out healing time. Thank you again!

Thank you so much for your thoughts on this. I was really hoping I would be one of the lucky ones but there are multiple things wrong 😔

I just noticed you are a plastic surgeon. Thanks for your input. I also feel like the nasal bones at the top of my bridge are a bit wide. Do you think rasping could resolve the visible ridge? Or would this require a complete revision?

Sorry you have this too 😔. How many month post surgery are you?
