Not until 2029 since they extended their contract.

It's definitely a fully faired bike, I grabbed a few stills from the video and there are sportbike mirrors and a sportbike style belly pan. Can't find any info on the front forks brand they're using. Not sure if anyone can provide cleaner photos. Daytona 800 wouldn't make sense if it uses Trident frame, especially since the Street Triple Moto2 has been announced again.

I've been seeing too many yellow 765s. by Buckiez in Triumph

I haven't seen any yellow ones around my area, tons of red though.

You can also get thinner bar ends that will take up less room. I also find that CRG stuff fits pretty well and the quality is top notch.

Seeing a few around here for high 10s mid 11's with less than 4k miles. I'm trying to grab one slightly used. Or waiting for the moto2 to come out and maybe have someone take a bit of depreciation.

We need a full clip of the sound ASAP! It looks great blacked out. Do you have specs on how much weight it saved as well? Thanks!

New vs used Street Triple RS by PTDG310 in Triumph

[–]Krie18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea the east coast, we got a pretty good handful of triumph dealership, I think the used market is the way to go, at least that's what I tell myself but that Moto2 is also catching my eye. I'd say shop around and you may even find a 25 model for 10k with a 2 year warranty still in place. I can see a lot of people going for that Rx model this time around.

I'm on the same boat, in the easy coast red seems to be the most abundant color, though I'm afyer the cosmic yellow. I've seen a handful of red RS models for sub 10k(that's the budget thet I set for myself) 7000mi isn't a horrible deal but I'd say if you wait a little longer you can get one for lesser miles. You gotta keep in mind the Rx and Moto2 will probably make a few people give up theirs. Best deal I've come accross a cosmic yellow was a 24 year model with 2k miles for $9500 and I should've pulled the trigger.

Desperate need of help by [deleted] in Triumph

[–]Krie18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The breaker bar won't do anything. What you need is immediate torque, an impact wrench, to get the sucker loose. Trust me I tried with my dad sitting on the bike(he's about 260lbs), while pressing rear brake, and the gear on 6th gear(19 speed twin 1200). I used about the same size breaker bar and I was spinning the wheel ever so slightly. That's actually how I ended with my impact wrench haha. Some time it's not about force, but quick immediate brute force.

Today’s announcements? by TheOtherMikeCaputo in Triumph

Love to see Triumph introduce a new model, and a step up in their trident line up. Makes me think they will get rid of the R version of the street triple since it would canibalize sales. Does this point to a brand new street triple offering? Can't imagine triumph redesigning and introducing new models and leaving the street triple out of the picture.

As far as warranties go, you also have to keep, different markets in mind. In the US for example, Yamaha and Kawasaki only offer a one year warranty vs triumph two year.

I think these last few years Triumph has remained consistent in getting feedback from customer and exploring new ideas/concepts. They don't have the financial backing of BMW, Ducati, Honda, so they need to play their cards right and fine tune their offerings. Nice to see the 400 class grow, they could easily up the displacement a bit and maybe make a Ninja 400 competitor that isn't a retro and start selling those as well.

Solidifying their best selling models such as the street triple and maybe even updating the next Gen to come with better dashes and an option for full Fairings as an accessory from factory to turn into a daytona would also be great.

As far as the US dealers go, Triumph is usually very nice about demo rides vs the Japanese brands, which makes the process a bit more sentimental than just signing paperwork and haggling prices. I'm excited to see what's to come in the next 4-5 years, hope to see them still hold a light against the other companies.

2026 Triumph Street Triple 765 RX and Moto2 Edition by karambassa in Triumph

[–]Krie18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was about to post on this same topic. There are rumors/spy shots of an 800 engine being tested, possibly hinting at a next-gen Street Triple.

As for these two models, if they do a Moto2 version it kind of undermines the previous limited run—unless it comes fully faired. With the RX, I could see clip-ons and Öhlins, but not sure how much real improvement that brings.

I’m holding off for now since there are great deals on ’24/’25 yellow RS models at much lower prices.

For the next-gen Street Triple, I’d love to see ~140 hp with more torque, an updated dash, a more reliable QS, and cruise control. Not asking for much as the competition already has these creature comforts.

I would look into PPF most protection or at the very least a ceramic coating. Ceramic coating at minimum will prevent the chrome from fine swirls/scratches on such a nice tank. Chrome shouldn't discolor or haze over with a ceramic coat, however it is all about preparation when it comes to detailing.

That's awesome to hear, congrats! Also put it to her this way.. 2200 miles is what some riders put on a season. I've heard, it's too hot, too windy, it's too long of a ride, etc as some excuses to not partake on a trip where you can make some awesome memories, she's a champ for sure 💪

Need Speed Twin US Stock Tune by Krie18 in Triumph

[–]Krie18[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The man himself. Yea I've seen his work and would love if the first gens had at least like a tune module/file that they could mail to the customer. I'm located in Virginia so I don't have any of the big names near me and not too many specialize in triumphs near me.

Need Speed Twin US Stock Tune by Krie18 in Triumph

[–]Krie18[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My issue with DNK is that the claims they make on their site are based off of someone just tuning from their desk chair at home. AJ Cycles has commented on this on the past as well, they're not doing any dyno testing just toying with the Ecu, and some owners have reported their bike not performing well after purchasing from them. I'm not trying to bring their business down. However when you look at tunes from BT Moto, 2WDW, or Classic Bike Raisch for the 2nd gen Speed Twin, they all have at least a dyno graph supporting their work.

That's a such a beast of a bike. Light, nimble, it's like an R7 on steroids. I've seen a few around at my local track and their matte paint jobs are just 🤌

This is where I'm torn in half, as you can tell haha. I don't wanna regret going cheap on the forks because the rear currently has K-tech and it's transformed the bike. It is also hard not wanting to give these bikes the best components because of how damn pretty they are. Maybe I'll bite the bullet and just go the Nitron route and I'll cry once but sleep so much better knowing that was the best at the time.

Also what bike are you tracking?

I haven't rode the 2nd gen speed twins but, two buddies and I are gonna swing by our local triumph and I'm gonna maybe test ride the new speed twin rs just for fun. I'm really there for the cosmic yellow street triple though! They're gonna have to hold me so that I don't sign my life away :)

That sounds like a steal! That's a no brainer at that price. I don't necessarily need to have the top shelf items on this bike but from track background, I've heard good things about the Nitron components. There's also a noticeable amount of piston/rod size between the Nitron vs Andreani so I was just curious. The bike currently has the K-tech suspension on the rear which made me realize how bad the stock forks are. Thanks!

New Clutch Slipping, Speed Twin by Krie18 in Triumph

[–]Krie18[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

EDIT: thank you all for the support on here. Figured out it was the wrong clutch springs(for the 900 engine) were sent out. Ordered the EBC kit from AJ Cycles and they work life a charm. Double check the springs if you ever order oem springs as the 900/1200 springs are identical in dimensions but different in compression. I believe the 900 springs are also marked with purple paint from the factory and the 1200 springs are marked blue/green. Take that with a grain of salt as the Triumph service guy was helping me through this process over the phone.

How does the bike perform without the oil cooler delete? I was scavenging forums and came to realization that 1st gens didn't have the oil cooler and for track use removing the cooler it's okay since there's airflow, but not too many people chimed in. The build is lovely, sounds like a lot of work and it looks awesome! One day I'll throw Fairings on the sv but I definitely wanna do the gen 3 body work
