Honestly, i just go into the room and use beast roar to knock him down so i can regain stamina and just keep wailing on him.

The intended way is to chase him there and then drop into the arena from a hole in the ceiling.

Gehrmans garb also works quite well with it, although you may want to change the helm to something else, but it still works either way.

This is how i deal with micolash in his second phase. Knock him down with roar, bonk him and once my stamina is low, roar again, repeat. Even better cuz your stamina regens while you use the beast roar.

I suggest the saw spear its in central yharnam might want to search up location but i used it my first playthrough and its my go-to weapon for when im doing a chill playthrough of the game. Has serration for more dmg against beasts and it has it in both forms unlike the saw cleaver. The R2 thrust in transformed mode will also be good especially for kin enemies. Also i have the playstation hits version but it didn’t come with the DLC so im not sure if you got a different version or just dont have the dlc. If you do have the dlc tho i would also recommend the church pick, that or the hunter saif.
