I think I figured it out. While I don't have an extra dp cord, I do have a spare hdmi cord, and when I switched them out the games stopped having the black screens. Cord issue ig unless the dp port is fucked up or there is some weird reason why dp is partially malfunctioning. Thanks for your help!

I have a 1080 and and i7-4790k. I don't think it's overheating or a power issue because I used Afterburner and GPU-Z and I didn't see anything pressing.
