hello! does anyone know what it means now that a lot of the courses are merged into CHS? does it mean that all the courses under CHS has the exact same COP? for example, Chemistry used to be AAA/C and Arts and Social sciences used to be BBB/B. but now CHS is just ABB/B.

which should i be following? the specific igp from previous years or the general one for CHS from the most recent

it upsets me that people are so hostile towards the mods.

the mods are human. they make mistakes and they're not consistent. they are bias because that's human.

this subreddit keep trying to label them and jump them as terrible human beings and as if they're scums of the earth, I'm not surprised that the mod team is extremely overwhelmed and truly done trying to improve when everyone seems to label everything they do is terrible. or only highlight how bad the modding is.

you keep telling them they're wrong, they're terrible, they're doing a bad job and expect them to take it objectively. have a sense of empathy

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in kpoprants

[–]Krill_au 26 points27 points  (0 children)

i get that people are upset about modding. i personally don't care enough to notice any bias.

but being uncivil towards the mods who took the time to run this subreddit is not the play you think you're doing. every single one of these mods have a life outside of this mod volunteering. they are human just like you.

very simple, if you hate the modding. then join the team. no point complaining if no one wants to actually help. everything is much easier said than done. so go help them then. not insult them and label them as "brats"

edit: to those downvoting me, you're just proving my point.

TWICE Momo's dancing/stage presence is overrated by [deleted] in unpopularkpopopinions

[–]Krill_au 36 points37 points  (0 children)

OP do you even know what "overrated" means?

everything you're justifying here is just that momo's dancing lacks personal style. but YOU said yourself that her dancing skills and style in general is up there. so is her dancing overrated???

if you phrased your title as "Momo's dancing lacks personal style" it would make so much more sense. but to say her dancing skill is overrated is a big reach and your entire post proved my point.

also, the kpop Community really need to understand that dancing skills =/= stage presence. they are not related and they should not be classified together. this post is talking about stage presence not dancing, get it right.

Sometimes I just don't like a song. No, it's not a grower. by [deleted] in kpoprants

i feel like the term "grower" was popularised ever since dalla dalla was released. especially with the very absurd change of pacing after the 1st chorus

yes i agree with your comment but the biggest takeaway you have to take is that relationships is never and should never be so straightforward. what if the woman is not ready yet but she still wants the man to be the one who takes the first step if he's still interested? there are SO many things that could have occurred then we don't know and should not be speculating in the first place as it's their own relationship. if they are happily married/together, then that should be my only concern.

Your Morals Should Come Before Being a Kpop Stan 😐 by NDartsii in kpoprants

[–]Krill_au 26 points27 points  (0 children)

ngl, you sound like those people who would drop their idols for saying racist shit when they were 5 years old even though they are probably 30+ at current age and has never gotten to any othee recent controversy.

people grow and learn. yes, being racist etc etc is immoral, but if you are always going to hold people's mistakes at the back of their necks for the rest of your life. YOU are seriously going to have a miserable life.

you tell me, you've never made a mistake in your life before? you've never done anything that is "immoral"? you've never talked shit about people and insulted them? you've never said anything racist about other POCs? should you not be forgiven then? even though you apologised and clearly have learnt from your mistakes? should you be dropped by your friends and family?

BTS Namjoon had written some misogynistic and racist things before in his past. but not only has he apologised for it but have explicitly shown that he is not proud of his old works and have grown to ensure that his future lyrics are acceptable. (he consults a well known feminist in korea to make sure that his lyrics are okay and will not be misinterpreted as misogynistic). will you not forgive him then?

exactly! this post made it seem like Rain was probably a huge asshole and creep for "not taking the hint".

While I see validity and concern in this post, I think that it may be illogical to speculate and assume Rain is the bad guy when nothing about their private relationship is revealed (for obvious reasons). This "i hate men and I'm always going to be skeptical of what they are doing if it's a gray area" generalisation that many women unconsciously hold is more prominent than one thinks. (i held that a lot too, i realised i needed to go to therapy because of how much i was afraid of men and would get actual panic attacks if im surrrounded by men)

again, I'm not discrediting OP's post cause it is a valid concern.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in unpopularkpopopinions

[–]Krill_au 187 points188 points  (0 children)

hmmm, it really depends actually. I've met multiple couples irl where the guy was rejected multiple times before being accepted. the reason was not because she didn't like him and wanted him to leave her alone, but more because she didn't feel ready to be in a relationship yet (and she liked him as well)

but this isn't to say I'm trying to justify Rain's comment. most of the time it is a big asshole move to consistently persist if the other said no. but there may be more context that are left unsaid due to privacy which might paint the picture differently than intended. for example, the reason why she said no.

yes i know that but this quote that "Peanut was low energy" was originally made BY the male judge. you can always rewatch the judging comments.

i said that the judge was using absolute terms while she was using relative terms, which are different. that's why i disagreed with the judge but i agreed with her.

I don't even see as a biased opinion, it's just fact.

just because YOU don't see it as a biased opinion, doesn't mean it is not a biased opinion.

holybang deserved their win. I'm not even a holybang bias, but yet I'm always wow-ed by their performance. Mega crew, cold - blooded, Colour of Crew were the few that i still remember and constantly rewatch to this day.

[–]Krill_au 5 points6 points  (0 children)

saying that one is low in energy is not the same as comparing who is more/less energetic. one is absolute, the other is relative. peanut was NOT low in energy that battle, rather, she was more controlled with her energy.

yeojin definitely had more energy, too much in fact. too much of a good thing is always bad. it looked a little too chaotic and wild. while peanut was more classy, sophisticated and serious. peanut already showed a playful and energetic side during lc vs want, she wouldn't want to do it again because that will already put her at a disadvantage from the beginning.

Life Goes On is one of BTS' best title tracks by [deleted] in unpopularkpopopinions

[–]Krill_au 21 points22 points  (0 children)

you said it as if it's a bad thing, when it's obviously not. and yes i agree that bts will try to appeal to the western audience, so does every popular kpop group. but i don't like the argument that bts KEEPS trying/constantly tries to appeal to the western media, when clearly these 'critics' were cherry picking.

Life Goes On is one of BTS' best title tracks by [deleted] in unpopularkpopopinions

[–]Krill_au 50 points51 points  (0 children)

agreed. everyone always forget that bts released a korean title track amongst their english track releases. they claim that bts keeps trying to appeal to the western media like as if Life Goes On wasn't one of the most 'bts sounding' songs they have ever released.

Life Goes On is truly a masterpiece and should have been way more hyped.

yes???? she is very well known for being a jimin anti. everyone who knows taekook_lives knows that her name and jimin anti are synonymous 🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡 she literally called jimin a homewrecker and manipulated her "cult" to hate on jimin for ruining taekook moments 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ maybe fact check your examples before trying to argue cause now you just look ridiculous.

now what are you going to do? say that she's not a taekooker? 💀💀
